Weekly ayurvedic yoga sessions are back and beginning this week!!

I'm so excited to be back in my happy place teaching you lovely lot some ayurvedic and yogic goodness.

Classes will run on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 10-11am @ my Otley studio, Chevin Mill, Leeds Road.

If you haven't yet tried my classes and would like to, or know of someone who would benefit from some calming TLC I am offering an introductory offer of £5 for your first class.

What makes Ayurvedic Yoga different from a normal yoga class? Ayurvedic yoga classes are designed with handpicked breathwork, mudras, poses and guided relaxations specifically chosen to help balance the body and mind in the season we are experiencing.

Ayurveda is a 5,000 year old holistic healing science from India which understands that the elements around us affect everything including our moods, emotions, digestion, sleep, nervous system, bodily functions and the way we move in the world. In my yoga classes I will weave in lifestyle tips and practises from ayurveda to help you bring in the qualities needed to stay at your healthiest and happiest throughout the year.

My classes are small with only 3 mats available so that I can give individual attention to all my students and of course, give a longer neck and shoulder massage during relaxation! So be quick if you would like to reserve a space! Please email me on emily@ayurvedasecrets.co.uk to book a space.

The picture above (of my gorgeous girl Tabby helping me plan my yoga class) is the beginning of a little challenge that I am setting for myself this March which is to take a photo everyday of something that brings me joy.

One of my amazing teachers on my yoga teacher training course taught us the act of searching for the joy and really being in the moment with it.

Being grateful for the little things that light you up each day, even if they are small one second moments. We can often lose these fleeting moments amidst the chaos and busy wave we ride each day.

Taking photos to remember these moments and looking back on all those joyous things we have surrounding us every day can really change our mood (a bit like a gratitude diary but in picture form).

Eeeeek!!! My scheduled weekly Ayurvedic yoga classes are back!!!! 🧘

I’m over the moon to be back teaching yoga 🧘 and cannot wait to see your lovely faces on the mat.

Classes will now be on Tuesdays 10-11am and Wednesdays 10-11am @ the Ayurveda Secrets Otley studio beginning on 4th March.

During the transition between seasons we can feel as unsettled as the weather.

When we start to finally see more daylight and the odd sunshine we start to have more energy but we want to keep our roots grounded just like the Spring flowers that are beginning to emerge slowly not quite ready to bloom.

Practise your movement with more intensity but still finding balance and calm with grounding poses, breath work and stillness. 🧘
