Myth buster, 10 facts to counter against 10 false myths.
Myth #1: The 1:1 Diet is just another faddy diet.
Fact: The 1:1 Diet has been around for 40 years so certainly doesn't fall into the definition of faddy.
Myth #2: The 1:1 Diet is just soups and shakes.
Fact: We have a wide range of products, much more than just soups & shakes. We have multiple choices including, porridges, smoothies, Bars, microwaveable meals, and of course we mustn’t forget the amazing Mug Cakes, Pancakes and cereals. 😋
Myth #3: Yes, but your body can't be getting what it needs
Fact: Each product contains a third of your recommended daily allowance. It's a nutritionally balanced plan.
Myth #4: It's a dangerous diet
Fact: The 1:1 Diet is a medically sound weight reduction programme. We have our own dedicated medical team that are there to support us every step.
Myth #5: It's a liquid only diet. You can't eat real food
Fact: There are 6 different weight loss options to choose from. 4 of them include normal homemade meals using a wide range of everyday foods you would buy from your local supermarket.
Myth #6: You'll just put all the weight back on when you stop dieting .
Fact: If you follow the plan properly and do the stepping up process you won't put the weight back on unless you go back to your old eating habits then, of course, just like any weight loss plan, you will go back to your old weight.
Myth #6: Its really expensive
Fact: Each product is cheaper than the average price of a cup of coffee in a cafe.
Myth #7: It doesn't work.
Fact: Millions of people around the world have successfully lost weight with The 1:1 Diet since it started. If you do it by the book it will work. If you make up your own variations to it then it would be no great surprise if it didn't work.
Myth #8: It's just some person selling you stuff.
Fact: As consultants we are extensively trained. We have a strict set of policies and procedures to adhere to. We work on a one-to-one basis with our clients and are always there for ongoing support, advice, guidance and encouragement.
Myth #9: They don't really care if you lose weight or not, they will get their wage from the company whatever.
Fact: As self employed consultants we don't get a wage from The 1:1 Diet and our businesses can only be successful if our clients are successful so we have as much desire to see you succeed as you do.
Myth #10: Yes but you need to be on plan for the rest of your life.
Fact: If you do The 1:1 Diet properly you should only ever have to do it once. The 1:1 Diet is all about lifelong changes - Changing portion sizes, changing eating habits, changing taste buds, changing metabolic rates and matching them to the right amount of calories for the individual. The only way to get different results is to make changes.
