With recent news around meningitis, it’s completely understandable that many families are feeling concerned.
Meningitis is rare, but it can develop quickly, so knowing the symptoms and when to act is really important. Symptoms can include fever, headache, sensitivity to light, neck stiffness, a rash, vomiting, and feeling very drowsy or difficult to wake.
If you notice these symptoms, don’t wait. Seek urgent medical advice by calling 999 or visiting your nearest A&E.
The good news is that vaccines are available and remain the most effective way to protect against several types of meningitis.
We expect to receive meningitis vaccine stock later in the year and will confirm dates as soon as we can.
If you’d like to join the wait list, please call the clinic and we’ll get you booked in as soon as we have confirmation of dates.
