Men & Aesthetics? Absolutely!!

I’d say over the last few years I’ve seen treatments for men steadily increasing and 2025 seems to be no exception!

This week I’ve had over 10 enquiries or bookings for new male patients and we absolutely love this! We’ve also seen a few of our regulars as well.

Get to know the Team, from left to right

First up is Jessica, our latest team member. She is a whizz with proageing treatments, both injectable and non. She trained in Aesthetics last year with and still works in the NHS as a specialist Nurse. She’s a total asset to the team and you guys love her!

Next is Emma, our Aesthetic therapist and laser expert extraordinaire. What she doesn’t know about laser isn’t worth knowing. She’s also a Pro at skin and especially Hydrafacial and microneedling.

Then it’s Emily, who’s been with since 2021 and we couldn’t imagine the clinic without her incredible talents for Skin and body treatments too. She’s also a pro at social media and keeps me sane too with lots of behind the scenes support.

Finally, that’s me on the right. I’m Kat, an Aesthetic Nurse and Clinic Director of this lovely business. I am a Nurse with over 20 years experience-mainly in the NHS but since 2018 within Aesthetics.

Blown away by these early (and not fully finished) results 👀

This is just before my lovely lady’s third and final session of under eye polynucleotide and these results will keep getting better and better and better over the coming weeks and months.

I like to think of polynucleotides as nourishment and regeneration directly for your skin cells. They stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, improve the extracellular matrix, and even offer anti-inflammatory benefits. This powerful combination makes them a game-changer in the world of skincare, proageing and regenerative aesthetics.

Polys are really effective in treating the under eye area, which is a notoriously tricky area. Here, they can help to reduce dark circles under the eyes, reduce fine lines and also can help with strengthening the delicate skin around the mouth. If you’ve had concerns about tear trough fillers or have (like me!) experienced puffiness with hyaluronic acid-based products, polynucleotides provide an excellent alternative.

I wanted to take a moment this Christmas Eve to wish a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of you wonderful humans out there!

I cannot begin to thank you all for the support you have shown us again this year. For all the likes, the comments, the shares and DMs-I see you all 🫶🏻 and each and every one means the world.

To those of you who have had consultations and started on skincare and treatment plans with us-I am so very grateful for the trust you place in me and the Face Oxford team. To every single one of you who has left us a review or recommended us to your loved ones, we wear each of these with pride.

This year has been filled with exciting changes. We’ve said goodbye and wished all the best to Hazel and welcomed Emma, a talented skin and laser therapist, along with another wonderful addition to our team, our fabulous Nurse Jessica. Both of these ladies are a huge asset to us and we are excited to develop our team more in the future. Our clinic has grown, not just in size but in the exceptional individuals who make it such a special place.

In mentioning exceptional individuals, I cannot imagine this clinic without the amazing Emily. She is an incredibly gifted, skilled, kind and caring therapist (as many many of you know) but she has also become a wonderful friend. Together we have overcome some tough times in life and supported each other along the way, both coming out the other side stronger and more resilient.

I am so excited to be able to lead this amazing team of women to delivering the absolute best treatments and services to our amazing community.

📣 Allow me to share some results from the next generation of skin wonder treatments- Polynucleotides 🧬🧬🧬

Polynucleotides 🧬 have literally EXPLODED into Aesthetic clinics this year and for good reason-they are incredible!! (You may have heard of the salmon s***m facial-this is it).

This lovely lady has allowed me to share a snippet of her emerging transformation and this is not even the final result! These pics were taken before her last session, so these will improve over the next few months!!

So, how do polynucleotides work-specifically for those stubborn under-eye concerns like wrinkles, skin laxity, hollowness and dark circles?

Well, this treatment stimulates the skin’s natural repair processes and enhances collagen synthesis. When injected into the under-eye area, polynucleotides help to improve skin elasticity and hydration, effectively plumping the skin and reducing the appearance of hollowness. This promotes cellular regeneration, leading to a smoother and more youthful appearance.

Do you have acne scarring that bothers you? It doesn’t need to be that way!!

Check out these results with micro-needling with Emily for this lovely lady. Aren’t they they FAB?! And please swipe for her beautiful review of us 🫶🏻🙏 (this was actually before her needling started)

This was just before her third session and her results will keep improving for 3-6 months after the last session, so it’s not even the final result!

This treatment is absolutely fantastic for all scarring, including acne scarring, as well as hyperpigmentation, skin texture and tone and improving fine lines and wrinkles.

The way it works is that using a device that looks a little bit like an electric toothbrush, with 12 very fine needles that vibrate and move at really high speeds, we cause millions of tiny little micro channels.

This procedure is not painful and some people end up falling asleep or at least dozing! Even the ones that don’t, only really describe it as “mildly annoying”. We ensure this is the case, by applying numbing cream to the skin before treatment.

So how does it actually work?

The micro channels that are created by the device get the body’s own wonderful healing response to kickstart: this means that it stimulates the body’s fibroblasts to start producing more collagen. For scarring, it also “bioremodels” the skin, basically meaning it breaks down the scar tissue and improving the scarring over time.

I always explain it like we’re filling the swimming pool (scar) from the bottom up with lovely new collagen. Whilst we can’t always get rid of scarring completely, for most people we hugely improve it.

📅 3-6 treatments are normally needed, about a month apart. One maintenance session per year

Subtle, beautiful tweaks to lips to define, volumise and hydrate.

These lips were all beautiful to start with, but just the littlest tweak with small amounts of dermal filler has accentuated them and made them totally pop 💫

I know I don’t often post filler these days, cos the gram likes a reel, but they are still one of my most popular treatments.
