Ever wondered why we get cravings?
We’ve all had those moments… suddenly craving chocolate, bread or something sweet. It can feel like it appears out of nowhere, but often there’s a reason behind it.
Sometimes your body is actually asking for something it needs. Here are a few common ones I talk about with my clients 👇
🍫 Chocolate cravings
That creamy sweetness triggers dopamine, the brain’s feel-good chemical. Sometimes though, your body may actually be looking for magnesium. Foods like almonds, bananas, pumpkin seeds, figs and spinach contain it.
And if it really has to be chocolate, don’t worry. On Plan there are bars, bites and shakes that satisfy that chocolate craving while still keeping you on track.
🍬 Sugary foods
Sugar gives a quick boost of dopamine, which is why it’s so tempting. But it can sometimes mean your body needs nutrients like Vitamin C, Vitamin A, magnesium or folate.

Next time a craving appears, pause for a moment and ask yourself… what might my body actually need right now?
