🌟 Completed My 1.5-Year-Long Vojta Therapy Course in Siegen, Germany! 🌟

After 1.5 years of intense learning, dedication, and hands-on practice, I’ve officially completed my Vojta Therapy course in Siegen, Germany! This journey has been an incredible experience, deepening my understanding of the developmental kinesiology and its profound impact on motor development and rehabilitation.

I’m beyond grateful for the knowledge gained, the inspiring mentors who guided me, and the wonderful colleagues I met along the way. It’s amazing to see how this powerful method can unlock movement and function, even in the most challenging cases.

Now, I'm excited to bring this enhanced expertise back to my daily practice.

🌟 Amazing Learning Experience at DRK Children's Hospital Siegen! 🌟

We are absolutely thrilled to share Adam's experience from the two weeks at the DRK Children's Hospital Siegen (GERMANY), where Adam attended a unique training course alongside 16 incredible physiotherapists and doctors from all over the world - including Taiwan, Hong Kong, England, India, Saudi Arabia, Poland, and many European nations.

This program, in collaboration with the International Vojta Society, focused on the Vojta principle in physiotherapy for infants, children, and adolescents with movement disorders. The blend of theoretical and practical learning was nothing short of inspiring. 📚✨

Every day was a deep dive into practical exercises, functional analysis, and hands-on patient care, all under the tutelage of esteemed Vojta instructor therapists. The knowledge and expertise shared were invaluable. As Chief Physician Dr. Holger Petri highlighted, the course is designed to impart essential skills for implementing effective Vojta therapy in young patients with movement disorders.

Spanning eight weeks, divided into four intensive two-week modules, the course structure allows for an immersive and thorough learning experience. The interval of 5-7 months between modules is perfect for digesting and applying the knowledge gained.

Being a part of this innovative and international training effort at the forefront of pediatric physiotherapy has been a career highlight for Adam. He is excited to bring back this wealth of knowledge and apply it in our practice.

Stay tuned as we share more about how this experience transforms our approach to patient care!

🔊 Making Waves in Physiotherapy! 🌊

Today, we're not only discussing a breakthrough in musculoskeletal treatments but also shedding light on an innovative approach to managing Cerebral Palsy - Shockwave Therapy.

This non-invasive therapy delivers high-energy sound waves to the painful or affected areas of your body. For musculoskeletal conditions like plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, shoulder tendonitis, and more, it stimulates regeneration and reparative processes of bones, tendons, and soft tissues. 🎯

In the context of Cerebral Palsy, shockwave therapy applies a series of acoustic waves to affected spastic muscle and nerve tissue, potentially improving muscle tone, coordination, and overall quality of life for some individuals living with this condition.🚀

With rapid relief and short treatment durations, patients have seen improvements in as little as three sessions! 🏃‍♀️🏃

We're pushing boundaries in healthcare, one shockwave at a time. Join us as we continue to explore, innovate, and challenge what's possible in physiotherapy and cerebral palsy care. 💪💚

Ilgin's last physio session was full of positive energy and big smiles all around, making it a truly uplifting experience!❤️😊

During our sessions, we often encounter young patients who may have difficulty or choose not to bear weight through their feet, which can lead to muscle contractions over time. One way to address this issue is by utilizing the PRAGMA System to simplify the task of standing and incorporating the HYPERVIBE platform, which employs whole-body vibration (WBV). WBV-induced alternating flexor and extensor stretch reflexes can help relax hypertonic muscles and allow for more aligned and physiological standing, ultimately improving our patients' ability to weight bear.

We hope you've had a great start to the year! It's hard to believe how quickly February is flying by.

During the half-term break, Felix had the opportunity to participate in Cuevas Medek Exercise (CME) therapy sessions. CME therapy aims to push the limits of the participants by using distal support, greater exposure to gravity, challenging balance, postural control, and attempts to provoke gross motor milestones that may be absent.

CME therapy involves the use of various props and manoeuvres that stimulate postural reactions to help children like Felix achieve better coordination and stability. As a result, children may experience improvements in their ability to sit, stand, and walk, as well as overall motor function.

This therapy can be particularly beneficial for children with developmental delays or neurological disorders that affect their movement and interaction with their environment.

It is always a great pleasure to assist the patient in the recovery process.

Charlotte was very motivated and worked very hard during last 5 months. She greatly improved her strength, stamina, balance, proprioception and coordination after sustaining peripheral nerve injuries in her legs and arms.

Now she is ready to get back to her favourite gymnastics and skiing:)!!!⛷️🤸‍♀️

It's important to provide paediatric patients with varied experiences and tasks during each therapeutic session. With that diversity come challenges and novelty necessary to develop new brain skills.

After two intensive physiotherapy sessions this year Felix is doing amazing🥰 His balance is improving with every session!☺️💯
