⚠️Welcoming New Members to the IFIC Board⚠️

We are pleased to welcome three new members to the Board of the International Foundation for Integrated Care (IFIC).

Earlier this year, IFIC ran a rigorous open application and interview process to strengthen the Board with additional international expertise. Following this process, Dr Ng Yeuk Fan, Diana Vilela Breda, and Professor Hein Raat were appointed and formally joined the Board in September. They have now completed their induction and are fully engaged in IFIC’s governance and strategic work.
Each brings a distinct perspective shaped by their professional and national contexts.

Dr Ng Yeuk Fan is a public health physician and health systems innovator from Singapore. His work spans integrated care design, population health, systems thinking, and the application of artificial intelligence to health system learning and transformation. He brings deep experience in translating complex system design into practical, human-centred models of care.

Diana Vilela Breda is a senior healthcare executive from Portugal with a strong background in hospital management, mental health systems, and integrated care innovation. Her work has focused on person-centred pathways, community partnerships, age-friendly services, and policy engagement at national and European level.

Professor Hein Raat is an emeritus professor of public health at Erasmus Medical Center in the Netherlands and a practising public health physician. His expertise includes preventive care, health inequalities, integrated health and social care, digital health applications, and the use of patient-reported outcome measures to support shared decision-making.

Together, they strengthen the Board’s international reach and its mix of system leadership, research, policy, and frontline practice. We look forward to working with them as IFIC continues to support learning, collaboration, and practical improvement in integrated care across countries and contexts. We wish them every success with their appointments.

⚠️IFIC welcomes Ikon Gallery’s contribution to ⚠️

The International Foundation for Integrated Care is delighted to share Ikon Gallery’s announcement of What are the Odds? Ikon Creative Health, an exhibition that explores the role of art in supporting health and care systems. The exhibition presents powerful work shaped by lived experience and created through collaboration with artists, communities and partners across Birmingham.

Ikon’s Creative Health programme shows how art can deepen understanding of public health challenges, strengthen community voice and foster more compassionate and inclusive approaches to care. These themes resonate strongly with the ambitions of ICIC26, taking place in Birmingham from 13 - 15 April 2026.

We are pleased that What are the Odds? Ikon Creative Health will feature as part of ICIC26. Delegates will have the opportunity to experience how creative practice can illuminate barriers to health equity, encourage dialogue between communities and systems, and contribute to the future of integrated care.

You can read Ikon Gallery’s full press release here:

🚀 The IFIC Annual Survey Results 2025 are now published!

People at the centre of care, informal carers and professionals tell us that shared electronic care records lead to better coordination, fewer repeated assessments and more confidence in the care they receive.

The report also highlights important gaps. Some people face barriers to digital access and confidence.
