We understand that Dogs provide comfort during periods of grief with their unconditional love and companionship whilst encouraging routine. Which is why we also allow well-behaved Dogs into Funeral Services

Joyce Margaret Woods (Joy) Passed peacefully away surrounded by family on 9th February 2026. Now reunited with her husband of 59 years, Kenneth John Woods who passed away on the 25th December 2012 . The funeral service will take place on Monday 9th March 2026 at Oxford Crematorium, St John's Chapel at 11:00 AM. Donations if desired to Sobell House & R.N.L.I. Last week Business Leader Simon visited our colleagues at Wyre Forest Crematorium & Cemetery. He was delighted meet their resident Chickens 🐓 who provide a comforting distraction to mourners attending the Crematorium. Their quiet gentle behaviours and soft noises can be a soothing way to support the grieving process.

Today marks the start of Lent in the Christian faith. Traditionally observed with fasting and abstinence from meat for 40 days and finishing at Easter.
Nowadays people use lent to challenge themselves by giving up something from not eating chocolate or scrolling social media. Alternatively some people focus on adding something to their daily routine such as random good deeds 😌
