As the year comes to a close, we’re excited to share some wonderful moments and milestones from our home. This edition celebrates the achievements of our dedicated staff, whose hard work and commitment continue to make a meaningful difference every day. We’re also pleased to include a message from Laura Cole, who has recently stepped into the role of Assistant Manager and brings great passion and energy to the team. And of course, we couldn’t forget one of the season’s highlights — a magical visit from the penguins and birds of prey that brought smiles to residents and staff alike!

We would like to express how proud we are of our very own Carer Aimee, who has won the Apprentice of the Year award at the Thames Valley Business and Community Awards on Friday 28th February 2025. Well done, Aimee from all of us here at Fairfield.

An Oxford apprentice has been recognised for her 'immense effort' by winning a prestigious award.

On Wednesday 10th July, we had a very informative talk from SDC regarding the building work happening around Fairfield. We were also given an amazing tour of the building site.

Today, two of our residents celebrated their 68th anniversary. When asked about their anniversary they said “We have been in love since day one” - Happy anniversary Mary and John!

We had an amazing trip out to this beautiful garden centre. We came across this wonderful rural museum full of hidden treasures.

Today we celebrated Bonfire night at Fairfield. We had a special performance by Alan and Tristan, followed by Prosecco and an indoor firework show. 🎆

Yesterday we had our one of our ex employees (activities co-ordinator Taz ) who went off to have a baby last year to return today bringing the absolutely beautiful baby Mabel 👶👶🍼🍼
