Majority of women undergoing treatment for breast cancer are recommended anti-oestrogen treatment and /or chemotherapy. This brings on the menopause or symptoms of menopause, which can be debilitating for many. How many women find it easy to talk about the issues related to oestrogen deprivation? Not only because they are very personal and intimate issues, also because solutions are not easy.

Allergan (aka Natrelle) has withdrawn the textured implants following expiry of CE marking in Dec 2018, so not recommended for use. MHRA has advised that the Allergan implants that were inserted before 16th Dec 2018 do not need to be removedor replaced.

Please check with your surgeon about the make of implant, if you are undergoing breast surgery with implants.
