Old folklore says Speedwell was carried by travellers for protection and a safe return home
💙

Joy has travelled far to arrive safely with me and these tiny little self seeded flowers are a reminder that a single journey is never truly the end 💚 you are on the threshold of another journey 🩷

So when you see these beautiful little blue/purple flowers along a hedgerow or the road, they are a little sign that you are protected on your way 🩷💚

Do you have a lucky charm you carry with you? 🍀

Speedwell 💙

Have you actually paused today?

Cow parsley is so soft, delicate and gentle. The way it feels, moves and the scent is beautiful 🤍

You'll find it right now by the hedgerows, gates, thresholds 💚

It really softens the boundaries more than any other wildflower, perfect of you need to soften your own boundaries if they have become a little hard 💚🤍

I could watch this beauty for ages, going with the flow, gently protective 🤍

This beautiful bird cherry tree was on the edge of the lake today 💚

With its beautiful tiny white flowers moving with the very welcome breeze today 🤍

They're a great trees to have at a threshold (where they are naturally found, edges of lakes and woodlands) the scent is amazing and it has a really gentle energy, very welcoming 💚

You may have been noticing these beautiful, purple/pink flowers and not realised what they were? It's Honesty 🩷

The delicate petals will soon give way to the transparent, papery seed heads. The seed heads represent the moon and wealth, not financial wealth, but spiritual wealth 💜

When you see the honesty seed heads, collect a couple to have by your door, they represent clarity and truth 💚

As always, collect only what you need, we want them to keep spreading

Go and find your local bluebell woods today 💚

They really are magical places 💙

You'll plant your feet, drop your shoulders and take a deep breath in and feel amazing 🙌

I let a lot of my garden go wild, do it's own thing 💚

What not only survives, but thrives is beautiful 🌸

No chemicals go on my garden, no extra watering. It really is up to nature what grows well!

And it's the wildflowers, the ones that have been around for centuries, that have been used by herbalists for forever that keep coming back 🌼 with new ones appearing every year 🌱

That's no accident, that's nature giving back to us 🩷

What is your favourite wildflower - if you can possibly narrow it down to one or two, because I can't 🤣

Take a few seconds to breathe 💚

Yes you do have time 🩷

This is what Sundays were made for 💚

A slow stroll through the bluebell woods 🩵

So much bird song, even saw a few, but mostly heard them 🐦

And bluebells along the paths, and under the trees. 🩵💚

The Hawthorn trees just starting to blossom 🌸

The bluebells are early this year, hopefully a long flowering season. They are so beautiful, they'll take your breath away 🩵💚

The forest floors are thriving now🌱💚
This is the much missed Garlic mustard, with its delicate white flowers. It's also known as 'Jack by the hedge' as that is also where it grows, by the hedges!

The leaves can be used in salads or as flavouring for fish and meat.

They make the forest feel even more inviting as they bend in the breeze, gently going with it 🤍
