I’m so excited to be joining Alix Hubble Chickfit. I’m looking forward to filming some yoga classes for Chickfit members. I have some lovely restorative sequences, slow flows, flow & restore classes planned. Expect lots of rest…get your blankets, cushions, towels, pillows or order a fancy yoga bolster for Christmas. I guarantee you will never regret buying that bolster!

Wondering about having the Covid vaccine in pregnancy or when trying for a baby?

I remember feeling nervous about having the first vaccine because I was breastfeeding. It was all so new. Great to hear studies have shown antibodies being passed on to baby through breast milk. The fear had gone by the time I had the second dose!

The theme for today’s class is: How to mother the mother or how to look after yourself post birth.

What little gifts can we give ourselves. Here are mine:

I didn’t really have a baby shower before my first was born but a few wonderful friends gathered together some bits for me and baby, one item in my goodie bag was a bar of dark chocolate. As I don’t drink coffee or tea my dark chocolate is something I value. It gives me a boost so chocolate is on my list for looking after myself.

Other items:
A good book - reading just a couple of pages helps transport me into another world.
A selection of pretty caffeine free tea bags with a nice mug - make it an occasion even if you’re drinking it cold!
A mini movement and breath routine - grounds me and connects me.
Going for a walk - with baby, with a podcast or with a friend but at some point in that walk being quiet. The quiet bit is essential for me.
