I just wanted to send a little self-care check in to you all.

The energy feels pretty exhausting at the moment

There are several things going on that feel like they are really asking us to offer kindness, rest and calm to ourselves, and to slow down.

For those of you that are interested. The things that are showing us how important this is right now are set out below:

1. Winter is a yin season and we are in the depth of that going-inward time. This is a time of preparation and cultivation of energy - we need only look to the trees and plants to see this.

2. ⁠We are just approaching a new moon in Capricorn on Sunday and this last waning light of the moon phase as it dims is always asking for us to slow right down - to release what doesn’t serve us and to allow our energy to be repleted and renewed when the energy builds again following the new moon. The couple of days around the new moon itself are for meditation, stillness and reflection, so that we might receive the wisdom we need and the energy to move into the lunar month from there.

3. ⁠The current astrology is primarily in yin (feminine) signs asking for us to receive and be, not to act and do. Because the most prevalent sign is Capricorn, we are conversely very much focused on getting stuff done when we may not have the energy for it. Self-criticism may feel a little higher and compassion and rest is its answer.

4. ⁠We are approaching a big, new beginning on the 20th Feb that astrologers have been focusing on for a while. Any huge new beginning may mean a huge releasing of the person we were before.

5. ⁠Some of us are more lunar in nature and may connect more with the lunar new year on Feb 17th. This may bring forward that new year feeling, or after the 20th too.

6. ⁠And of course, let’s not forget influences such as the weather at the moment, many people can be sensitive to the shifting of pressure as well as the darkness of the season too.

So, if this resonates with you, take this message as a reminder to offer yourself the time, rest and care you need - we cannot pour from an empty cup 💟

A Full Supermoon 🌕 in Cancer is exact this morning - 3 Jan at 10:03am (UK time) - but what does this mean for you?

The full moon in Cancer connects us to our feelings, our soul self, and our quiet, private energy. The moon is strong in her domicile sign where she feels at home and her strength is heightened further by retrograding Jupiter which sits alongside, increasing and expanding her energy and lending wisdom, faith and optimism.

The full moon asks us to nourish and care for our emotional self, our inner child, to offer love and respect for the journey we have been on so far and to trust the journey we have yet to come. She wants us to connect deeply with our soul's wisdom and to notice the ways in which we might better nurture ourselves and our loved ones.

A full moon occurs when the moon sits across the sky from the sun, creating an illuminating time of heightened emotions, focusing us on our relationships, and holding up a mirror from which we can see ourselves clearly. As this is a supermoon, the sensitive among us might notice that these full moon energies feel more heightened than usual since the moon is closer to the earth.

This opposition between moon in Cancer and sun in Capricorn creates asks us to balance two polarising energies (as is always the case with a full moon). The balance this time comes from the focusing energies of Capricorn where the Sun resides alongside Venus and Mars.

The Capricorn energies ask us to concentrate on our goals, our work, and what we want to create in the world. Capricorn is about mastery, commitment to our path and the discipline needed to remain steady, consistent, and responsible. Mars is likely to increase our desire to act on these goals and push them forwards. Whereas Venus is asking for us to make sure our goals are grounded in our value system - that they are worthy of our time and attention and we are fully invested in them.

So, how do we achieve this balance?

The full moon in Cancer reminds us that however far we may be from living the life we want to live - the path forwards is in fact the path inwards. This path is emotionally connected, present in the now moment, and it is from this inner space that we will find the strength to make any changes we can see we now need. Jupiter asks us to honour ourselves further and to trust in the soul wisdom we have gathered walking through our lives.

✨ So, while we are moving into the new year and focused on building the foundations of our future, we are invited to ensure our actions are grounded and authentic, honouring our inner emotional world too ✨

We might like to ask ourselves:

~ Does the life we are building honours our deeper soul needs?
~ And if not, could we use our inner knowledge and emotional wisdom to carve out our forward-focused and achievement-orientated path more mindfully and more lovingly, so that we might make our towards a life that offers a deeper sense of balance and nourishment?

With Chiron (both the wounded healer and the medicine we need to heal) stationing direct around the time of the full moon, we might be feeling a little more vulnerable and self-protective. Chiron in Aries wants to remind us that we all have our own wounds and we have all been on our own healing journeys - though we will of course be at different points on our healing path. He asks that we remember to integrate our medicine into our future, so that we can step forward more confidently, tending to our needs as we go.

Hi, I’m Rosie. If you’re feeling overwhelmed or living with a long-term health condition, here’s a short and simple practice you might find helpful.

Sit comfortably and place one hand on your belly and the other on your heart. Start with a full exhale and let your shoulders drop and your jaw soften. Then take three slow, steady breaths in and out.

Next, sweep your hands up over your forehead, down the back of your head and onto the back of your neck. Gently squeeze the neck muscles, then bring your hands back down to rest over your heart. Breathe here.

You can repeat this sweeping movement as many times as you need, letting your body gradually calm and settle.

Small steps like this can help the mind, body and emotions find a bit more balance. It’s a simple reset for your nervous system and something you can come back to whenever you need. 🌿✨

If you’re living with fibromyalgia, chronic pain, fatigue, or injury and have felt that yoga might be “too much” for your body, my gentle and mindful classes are designed especially for you – or for anyone who wants to experience the healing and wellbeing that comes from yoga in a calmer way. Experience moving gently, resting deeply, and supporting the nervous system with care.

These sessions focus on soothing the nervous system, reconnecting you to your body safely, and rediscovering calm through breathwork, mindful movement, and deep rest. You’ll be supported to adapt each pose to your needs – no forcing, no pressure, no judgement.

✨ Gentle Yoga – Fridays
A slow, nurturing class suitable for anyone recovering from injury, managing pain, or seeking deeply restorative movement.

✨ Mindful Yoga – Fridays
For those who would like a little more movement while still keeping the pace calm, thoughtful, and accessible.

✨ Healing Hour Yoga – Occasional Wednesdays
A beautifully restorative hour designed for those who may be exhausted, in pain, or needing a deeply healing pause. Even if you can barely do anything at all, this class will meet you exactly where you are.

All classes are held in safe, welcoming spaces where we shift and change things together so that every body feels included.

As someone who has personally been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and learned to manage it fully, I understand the fear and frustration that can come with chronic pain — and I also know how powerfully yoga and breathwork can help the body and mind find ease again.

You don’t have to stay away from yoga. You just need the right approach and the right support. 🌿
