Do you dwell on the past? Worry about the future? Have difficulty meeting people?

Mindfulness social evenings at the hub runs every Wednesday evenings 6pm till 8pm. It's free and helps focus on the moment whilst meeting people, playing games and learning coping skills in a warm safe environment.

Saying goodbye to a loved one isn't about forgetting them. It's moving past the sad part of grief and treasuring the memories. Whilst our loved ones pass away and leave us in body. Memories will remain forever. Today at grief support we wrote some goodbye letters and let them float away to our missed loved ones.

If you are grieving a loved one or grieving a trauma, a loss of home, pet or even a job. The hub runs a grief peer support and psycho educational group every Tues 6pm till 8pm.

EXCITING NEWS

We have something exciting happening and we cant wait to share it.

The beautiful sushma has kindly connected with the hub to bring something exciting.

Her amazing slogan COOK IT, DONT CHUCK IT tells us a little about the wonderful work she does in communities.
Sushma is coming to padiham to show us how to make amazing things out of food we may throw away. Helping families create fabulous dishes and saving much needed money in the household in these crucial times.

She has cooked for the famous, has won awards and now runs a cic company along side her catering business to help local communities and she has chosen to work with the hub. HOW AMAZING IS THAT.

FREE EVENT
Come and watch her create magic and teach us some amazing recipes out of basic left over ingredients.

Good morning

NOTICE

The HUB at Padiham

We still unfortunately have volunteers off very poorly, so the shop will be spedoricaly open again this week. I am sure you will all wish them a speedy recovery.
We will always put on here that Hugs 4 Free Pre-loved Boutique Pre-loved Boutique is open.

Polite notice.

The hub takes priority to the shop as we are a much needed service.

Please can we ask that people refrain from coming and complaining to the hub volunteers. They are there to welcome people, put on activities, not to take complaints from the public. These people give up their time for free.

We are fully aware the front of the hub is tired, we are fully aware that we need more storage to put things away.
We are fully aware inside the building is tired ( 2 people kindly gave up a whole week of their personal time to paint downstairs) we are self funded and dont have the funds or support to refurbish.

If anyone would like to donate any storage drawers, carpet rolls or outside paint to help with this, we would be very grateful.

We are fully aware that we need volunteers and we have had applications for several positions.
All volunteers must be fully checked and references checked. This is a process that takes time.
This then has to go to committee.

Again please do not open the hub door and question the wonderful people that have given up their free time to make sure the hub can open.

We recieve around 500 messages per week.
Please be patient for replies as we have to prioritise and some can get missed.
Again we are all volunteers just trying to make a difference in our town, we will not be and shouldn't subjected to abuse of any kind.

Messages will be responded to in opening hours as recently we are even answering messages at 11 o clock at night.
Please respect our volunteers are at home with their families.

If your request is urgent or you need to speak with the hub about any concerns, viv is in the hub Mondays and Thursdays, please feel free to call in.
