Our prescribing board in Lancashire and South Cumbria are working hard to set up a service for safe prescribing of weight loss injections including Tirzepatide (brand name Mounjaro®). We remain unable to prescribe these injections from primary care. We will continue to provide updates and thank you for understanding the local situation.

❌❌Dear Patient - All GP practices in East Lancashire will be closed on Thursday 3rd April 2025 from 13:00 hours to 18:30hours for protected learning time.❌❌

This enables practices to provide dedicated training to their staff and to discuss and plan ways that will allow them to improve services, meet demand and support the wellbeing of staff.
For all life-threatening medical emergencies during this time, please call 999. Other provisions are in place for non-emergencies, so please call NHS 111.
There is a minor injuries unit located at The Acorn Centre Accrington and Rossendale Primary health care centre.
Urgent Care centres at both Burnley General and Royal Blackburn Hospital.
Emergency department at Royal Blackburn hospital.
For all routine requests for results, appointments, prescriptions and general enquiries, we will be open as usual from 8am the following morning

We are currently experiencing an intermittent fault with the phone lines in the practice . The company who provide our phones have been informed and the are working on it as a priority.

The ICB Lancashire and South Cumbria Women’s Health Programme is conducting a survey aimed at all women across the LSC footprint to understand and gather women’s views on support for women’s health issues, where women’s health hubs should be located, how they could be accessed, and any barriers.

We would really like to capture thoughts from our female residents about Women’s Health Hubs located in the community and in relation to an online Women’s Health Hub.
