There's a common misconception that hypnotherapy is something mysterious or magical...we've all seen stage hypnotists make people walk around like chickens, haven't we!
But the truth is that stage hypnosis and hypnotherapy are actually very different things.
Hypnosis for hypnotherapy is simply an elevated state of consciousness that allows better access to the subconscious mind - the place where our repressed memories and fears are held - in fact we naturally go into states of hypnosis every single day, for example when we drive a route so familiar that we go into auto-pilot.
In hypnotherapy, we use this heightened state of consciousness to make positive changes that can help to change your fears and negative core beliefs.

I know how difficult it can be to choose a therapist, having personally suffered with low self-esteem and anxiety disorder for most of my life.

I suffered with panic attacks throughout my childhood, and as an adult I experienced the combined effects of social anxiety, domestic abuse and low self-esteem. I was ultimately diagnosed with PTSD in my early 30s. My confidence was shattered and it was then that I knew I needed support.

After finding my path to better mental health and self-confidence through therapy and inner child healing work, I'm now passionate about helping others to find the same happiness and freedom that I have....

So many of us are conditioned to think the worst of ourselves.

So many of us beat ourselves up for our past mistakes and choices.

So many of us carry so much shame around with us daily, weighing us down and limiting our joy.

Today’s reminder: If you ignore a plant for weeks on end, and then give it a whole pint of water at once - that plant will not survive.

A plant needs small amounts of care every single day, to keep it growing and thriving.

Self-care works the same way.

You can’t neglect your own needs every day while running around trying to look after everybody else in your life, then “treat yourself” to a face mask and a bubble bath on self-care Sunday and expect that to suffice.

You need to make sure you’re giving yourself that small amount of time every day, to meet your own needs. That’s how we thrive.

💫 The Face Behind The Business 💫

I’m Hayley - I’m a mum of 3 young children, and I’ve just turned 40.

I qualified in hypnotherapy after having spent several years undergoing therapy myself to treat my own PTSD and anxiety, which I developed after experiencing domestic abuse and bullying.

I was amazed at how much therapy has helped me to change my life - increasing my confidence, helping me to better manage stress - hypnotherapy even helped me to overcome my extreme fear of flying!

I chose to qualify in hypnotherapy because I want to help other people to find the same joy and freedom in life that my own experiences have helped me to find.

I offer online and in-clinic sessions in Paignton, and can help with issues such as phobias, changing unwanted behaviours, anxiety and stress management and OCD.

I also offer past life regression which can be a fascinating experience!

Fear is something that we all have and all need.

It helps to keep us safe and vigilant, it’s purpose is to protect us.

But sometimes fear can be become overwhelming. It can start to limit what we allow ourselves to do and experience in life.

Fear-motivated thoughts are usually about “can’ts”…creating negative, imagined scenarios about the future to convince us that we know what the outcome of certain situations will be and making us believe that we can’t do certain things.

Hypnotherapy techniques can be used not only to establish the root cause of fears, but also to help you to replace those negative images and fearful thoughts with positive ones.

Giving you back the freedom to experience things without giving in to fear.
