This is our crazy family, 2 sisters, 2 in laws and lots of kids. When we say were a family ran business that is exactly what we are.
i am Nikki and i am the deputy manager at simply joy care services and Bekki is my big sister and our managing director and registered manager.
so here's our story.
august 2021, Bekki rang me to tell me she was starting a care company and would i join her to provide care to people. i thought she was cracking up, but i agreed anyway. she named the company "simply joy care services" after our amazing nan who deserved to be treated so much better in a care home than she was. By Christmas we had a small community run and a couple of staff that worked with us. Bekki received her registration early 2022 and we got a contract with Torbay council.
fast forward 4 years and Bekki now has a team of 29 staff and we provide care to 42 service users.
when i say were a family ran business i'm not just talking about the members of our family that work with us and support us to live our visions, but i'm talking about our staff that have become and are becoming family, i'm talking about the service users who love to hear about our families and have met our families. i'm talking about loved ones of service users who treat us like family and sometimes just ring for a catch up.
we don't provide just the care an individual needs, we provide the care they deserve because everyone deserves to feel listened to and respected.
