What can we show you with our movement diagnostic assessment?
By using force plate technology we can see what is going with each limb when you train at the gym or even when you run.
When running each foot strikes the ground around 80-100 times per minute if you run an average time of 25 minutes, that’s 2000-2500 foot strikes per foot each time you run.
Each time we strike the floor, the impact force between our foot and the ground can be anywhere between 2–3+ time body weight, repeated 2000-2500 times just for a 25 minute 5k run.
If you weight and average of 70kg, that’s an impact force of 140-210kg each time your foot hits the floor, “DON’T TELL ME RUNNERS DON”T NEED TO BE STRONG.”
How can a diagnostic report help you reduce the likely hood of what is termed overuse injuries and or improve performance.
1: We can see imbalances in your performance between left and right side
A: Balance and stability (are you putting excessive stress on one limb or structures like bone, ligaments and tendons).
B: Strength (are you even strong enough to deal with the impact, therefore it’s a matter of time before something gives).
2: We can see how well you utilise the natural elastic properties in your lower leg:
(reducing the stress on muscles and other structures making you a more economical runner).
3: We can prescribe training that is specific to you and your needs:
(therefore, you’re not doing too much or not enough and focusing on the right things).
