Thankyou to Griffiths Veterinary Centre in Ashburton for your hospitality and showing us around your new practice. We were impressed with the thought & detail such as separate waiting and kennel areas for cats and dogs. They have state of the art equipment and facilities to be able to provide a positive experience for pets, their clients & the team. We are humbled that they have taken inspiration from our family rooms at Valley for when the time comes for a client to say goodbye at practice. All the best for the future from the team at Valley x

We recently cared for beloved Guinness on her final journey. The family have allowed us to share these beautiful photos and kind words. We hope this provides comfort and reassurance to families entrusting their precious horses into our care. ❤️

"I wanted to write a quick note to say a huge thank you for your care of my beautiful Guinness.

She had been my horse of a lifetime for the past 28 years and at the grand old age of 33, age began to take it's toll and it was time to make the heartbreaking decision to have her quietly put to sleep.

Sadly, due to health reasons, I was unable to be there for her collection, and my son James, and the family, arranged all the details with yourselves for her collection and individual cremation. They kept me fully up to date with everything and I had warned them that collection was a horrible process and that they needed to be prepared.

However, from their accounts and photos of the process, I felt compelled to write you a quick note to say such a huge "Thank You". The whole process from start to finish has been done with compassion and care and her collection was gentle, respectful and dignified and that means the absolute world to me. My family are not horsey and didn't really know what to expect and yet they have said you were very good, made the process easy and straightforward and operated at all times with kindness and dignity. I received her ashes back today in a beautiful casket together with a plaster cast of her hoof and a sunflower.

Thank you for treating Guinness with dignity, compassion and care, it brought me great comfort during a very difficult time and I will always be grateful."

Today we remember lovely Maisie on her Birthday. 🌈

Maisie was a regular visitor to Valley and it always gave us great joy whenever she came to see us. Whether seeing Mr Plec in the Ocean room, coming to sit by our Christmas memorial tree, or happily receiving lots of fuss from the team, Maisie always brought a smile to our faces.

She will be dearly missed by all of us here and our thoughts today are with Maisie and her family. ❤️
