Happy Boxing Day from us to you!

Yesterday the sea reminded us who’s in charge 🌊

With rough conditions, official warnings, and all organised swims cancelled, I made the call for our wild swim group not to enter the water this Boxing Day. Instead, we met for coffee, warmth, and conversation — and that mattered just as much.

Yesterday, two souls were tragically lost at sea and the search continues. Our thoughts are with those and their families. A stark and sobering reminder that while the ocean gives us so much, it can also be ferocious and unforgiving. Respecting it is not fear — it’s wisdom.

Wild swimming is about connection, courage, and community, everything we have built here with our family but it’s also about knowing when to pause. Sometimes the bravest choice isn’t getting in — it’s listening, adapting, and looking after one another.

Thank you to this beautiful group for understanding, trusting my call, and showing up anyway

The sea will be there another day.

🎄 Perfect evening of fun with friends, date night or even self care! Come and make a beautiful Ocean inspired Christmas masterpiece ready for you to gift to a loved one or decorate your own home with us.

🎄 We would love to have you join us. 6:30pm - 8:30pm and after we have finished we are going to wander down to Preston for a moonlit dip under the stars amd Hot Chocolate after!

🐾 Today was a tough one. Joey & Leanne have been friends since they were smalls. Joey has gone to hell and beyond. He will forever be a hero in our eyes. Always putting others needs above his, helping people and sometimes putting himself last on his list - I will always remember the day I met Brody. He saved Joey.

🐾 Today Chilly Nips did what Chilly Nips does best - they came together in a time of need to show support, love and kindness. Running into the water holding Joey's hand and just as we all got shoulder deep the sun shone bright on us all! Brody shining down on us!

🌙 Some very special dates to add to your diary starting tomorrow evening with a 7:30/45pm meet at Paignton Pier for a Chilly Nip Full Moon Swim.

• September brings the Corn Moon, a time of harvest and gratitude.

• October shines with the Hunter’s Moon, symbolising strength and preparation for winter.

• November welcomes the Beaver Moon, marking a season of building and resilience.

• December closes the year with the Cold Moon, a reminder of stillness, reflection, and renewal.

🌙 Swimming under the light of the full moon is a truly magical experience, the water glows, the world feels quieter, and there’s a deep sense of connection to nature and to yourself. Each of the autumn and winter moons holds its own energy, from the abundance of the Corn Moon to the peaceful reflection of the Cold Moon, and wild swimming beneath them offers a unique way to embrace those rhythms. Not only does it boost mood, resilience, and circulation, but it also creates unforgettable moments of calm and community.
