💛 Why we use yellow badges and signage at Primley Court 💛
At Primley Court, you’ll notice we all wear yellow badges and use yellow signage throughout the building — and this is very much by design.
👁️ Yellow is one of the easiest colours for the human eye to see. It reflects more light than most colours and stands out clearly, which is why it’s widely used for safety signs and high-visibility clothing.
🧠 Yellow is also especially helpful for people living with dementia. As dementia can affect vision, contrast and depth perception, bright colours like yellow are easier to recognise and process. Yellow provides strong contrast against walls and floors, helping signage, names and directions stand out more clearly and reducing confusion or anxiety.
