Su***de Prevention Day 2024
To those who do not understand what it’s like to feel so low, that su***de feels like the only way out, for those that are going through it right now. please, please reach out. Your friends and family need you. It isn't weak to talk and you don't need to be strong. Be Kind to yourself....
Anyone who has lost someone to su***de/mental health, will only be able to understand the heartbroking pain, the sick feeling in your stomach, the questions you have and the unanswered questions. It is a feeling like no other. You never heal, it is with you for the rest of your life, and a pain that doesn't leave.
After being through this myself and not knowing a pain like it I deicide to open and run my own CIC support group "life after su***de". A place for individuals to talk freely and feel they are not not alone.
Su***de is not a choice, most of the time these people don’t want to die, just for their pain to end.
You don’t need to have a solutions to a persons problems, just been there and show them you care. Checking in on them.... don't take loved one of granted...
When was the last time you checked in with a family member, friend, loved one??... life is busy, we all say........ but I don't have time, I must message them, where has time gone, I was meant to message.... it takes two minutes (do it as you're watching tv). Don't live with the, I should have done more.
I keep thinking your going to walk in the door, like it's all a dream and I'm going to wake up. I miss you loads and life really isn't the same without you.
There is help out there and you are not alone.... most importantly you matter!!
