We’ve been shortlisted for a Stars of Teignbridge Award ⭐️ This is such an incredible achievement for us. We’ve only been set up for 6 months so to have already been nominated for this award is just the best feeling 🥰
Our Neurodivergent Home Ed Groups are a lifeline for some of the families who attend. It gives them a safe space to socialise and access educational activities. Our groups are a place where neurodiversity is celebrated 🎉
I am so proud of NeuroNest and really can’t wait to see what the next 6 months bring ❤️⭐️

New Name!
I’ve decided to change the name of my business from Sunshine Respite to Sunshine SEND Services ☀️ I’m still so passionate about advising, supporting and advocating for disabled people and their carers but I’m no longer providing respite so this new name reflects that! 💛

Neuronest is proud to announce that from Thursday 24th April 2025, we are taking ownership of InvisAble InkEd's Home Ed Club, and will be working collaboratively with both InvisAble InkEd and Sunshine Respite to continue to provide (and increase!) opportunities for home-educated neurodivergent individuals, and individuals with communication differences, in Devon. We will also be supported by sponsors and special guests who will be bringing even more mega exciting social and educational opportunities, including workshops, trips, and specialist support sessions.

Somebody pinch us, because we MUST be dreaming ✨😉

We're now also offering block bookings, so you can book the whole half term without worrying about the week-by-week payments (and get a discount!).

I’ve been pretty quiet on this page recently. George was taken from us 2 months ago and trying to adjust to life without him is really hard. He was and always will be my bestie ❤️

How has it been 8 weeks since our lives were ripped apart? We shouldn’t be in this nightmare. Their awful, sh*tty negligence means we’re now facing huge legal costs to get justice for you. Somehow, if a prisoner dies in custody their family get legal aid.. but if a disabled child dies in their bed that is provided by the NHS, the family have to pay for justice. Oh and the no win no fee? They’ll take 25% of any money we may win (which is capped at £15k because George died and wasn’t just injured, yeah how does that make sense?). We shouldn’t be preparing for an inquest into your death. You should have had so many more years 💔

I never thought it was possible to live with this amount of pain and heartache. I would do anything to spend even just a minute with you, I’d hold you so tight beautiful boy. I miss you 😢
I’ll always be your big sister, Jess xx

We are absolutely loving the new Occombe Farm Play area. It’s so accessible, not just the physical access to the building but also the activities and facilities they have. They are super accommodating to different needs and abilities- George finds queues and lots of people overwhelming so they let him in to the lamb bottle feeding a couple of minutes early. This made it so that George could enjoy the activity like the other children ❤️ They also have a Changing Places facility and Carers go in for free. If you haven’t checked them out yet, I really recommend it!

Hi everyone!
I have recently made a comment to our local council about the lack of accessible play equipment at the newly refurbished play park.
I sent a long email to them about this issue and I had a response today. They have explained that they will do everything they can to make the new better, but they have also asked if I would be willing to help them design a more accessible area for an existing play park, as it is due to be redone in the next year or so. I have said I would do some research and get people’s opinions and views on what they would like to see in a park, to make it as inclusive as possible.
This is the link to my survey, I’d really appreciate any responses 🙂 https://forms.gle/HXhqFCqcBMjVk9s87

Please feel free to share so I can get as many responses as possible ❤️
