We’re excited to announce that Chair Yoga classes are starting on Friday 21st November at 11am (1-hour class).
This 5-week introductory block is available for just £35 — perfect for anyone looking for a gentle, supportive way to build strength, mobility, and confidence.

These sessions are based on the evidence-informed Yoga4Health protocol, making them ideal for those managing health conditions, returning to movement, or simply seeking a more accessible approach to yoga.

✨ What to Expect in Chair Yoga:
🪑 Breathwork & Mindfulness — calming techniques to support relaxation and focus.
🪑 Joint Mobilisation — gentle movements to ease stiffness and improve comfort.
🪑 Strength & Stability Work — chair-supported exercises to enhance balance and confidence.

About the Classes
Vinyasa Yoga
Thursday 6-7PM
Vinyasa means “to place in a special way” — the art of linking movement, breath, and awareness with intention. In these classes, we practice this by integrating principles of Hatha Yoga alongside somatic practices that encourage sensitivity through slow, mindful movements, so that we learn to inhabit each movement, breath, and transition with deep awareness.
You’ll be guided to explore at your own pace through progressive practices designed to foster embodied presence. Breathing and meditation techniques are thoughtfully woven throughout, gently expanding your capacity for calm across varying levels of challenge, supporting you towards deep rest, relaxation and mental clarity.
Yoga Nidra
Thursday 7.15-8PM
Yoga Nidra invites you into the liminal space between wakefulness and sleep – a state of conscious rest that can bring deep restoration, insight, and clarity.
Rooted in the Ta***ic practice of ‘nyasa’ — the mindful placement of awareness throughout the body — this practice extends the same principle as vinyasa, but inwardly, allowing awareness to flow through the body and breath rather than through physical movement.
Through guided relaxation and inner sensing, the nervous system settles and the mind quiets, creating a deep state of rest where connection, realisation, and integration can naturally occur.

No experience required — simply lie down, listen, and rest into awareness

About Dan
Dan is a yoga, meditation, and music facilitator with a deep passion for the ways that sound, body, and mind practices can help us connect more deeply with life. With over a decade of practice and 500+ hours of formal training, his approach weaves together the physical, philosophical, and musical roots of yoga.
Training in trauma-informed modalities – including yoga therapy and mindfulness for addiction recovery, as well as meditation and peer-support facilitation for mental health– have given him tools to navigate the polarities of neurodivergence, bringing mental/emotional clarity that is grounded embodied presence. 🌟 We are absolutely delighted, privileged, and honoured to announce that Dan is joining the team at Above and Beyond Yoga! 🌟

I’ve personally had the pleasure of being one of Dan’s students over the years, and I have always admired his true commitment to creating a yoga practice that not only cares for the physical body but also nurtures our minds — reminding us to be kind to ourselves and to others.

I truly believe that Dan shares our same values of community, kindness, and recognising each individual, and I have no doubt that he will deliver warm, guided practices that nurture you from the inside out.

✨ Dan will be officially joining us in early November, so keep an eye out for some new classes appearing on our timetable very soon!

A dynamic practice designed to connect you with the rhythm of the season. Expect mindful movement, flowing sequences, and breathwork that will energise and balance your body. Suitable for all levels, this class will leave you feeling strong, centred, and ready for the weekend ahead.

🌙 Restorative Yin – Sunday 10:00am (90 mins)
Slow down and give yourself permission to rest. In this deeply nourishing class, you’ll explore long-held, floor-based postures designed to gently release tension and calm the nervous system. A perfect way to reset and restore your energy for the week ahead.
