Being a mum is the greatest gift in the world. 💗
As mums, we try our best every day to guide, support and nurture our children to become the best version of themselves — and for me, that means raising kind, thoughtful, caring humans. I’m extremely proud to say that motherhood has been the biggest achievement of my life, and this event is my way of celebrating the wonder of other mums too.

So whether you’re coming with your mum, as a mum yourself, with your daughter, son, sister or a friend — or you simply want to honour yourself and all you give… you are so welcome.

We’ll begin at 12:30pm in The Hub with a beautiful afternoon tea style lunch provided by Beth & Paul from Callens Café (Johnstone) 🥪🍰

✨ What’s included for lunch:
• A selection of sandwiches & wraps
• Sausage roll
• Apple pastry
• Scone with jam, cream & butter
• Two small cakes
Plus a lovely selection of fruit infused teas, coffee, and fruit juice ☕️🫖🍊

Around 1:30pm, we’ll invite you down to The Cube, where Sarah from Temple Spa will provide a relaxing Temple Spa session, while we prepare the space for the second half of your retreat.

🧘‍♀️ 2:00pm – Restorative Yin Yoga with Lesley
🎶 3:00pm – Sound Bath with Dan
✨ Finish around 4:00pm feeling calmer, softer, and deeply restored.

Perfect for:
💗 mums & daughters, sons • sisters • friends • or coming solo for some well-deserved time out.
No yoga experience needed — just come as you are.

Yoga Nidra & Sound Bath
A Journey into Deep Rest, Sound, and Stillness

Join us on Sunday 5th April for a deeply restorative afternoon of Yoga Nidra, and sound bath with Mark Russell and Dan Gronan.

The session begins with slow, gentle movement and breathwork to soothe and settle your body for relaxation. From here, you’ll be guided into Yoga Nidra — a practice of deep rest where the body relaxes completely, while awareness remains gently present, inviting calm, clarity, and stillness.

As you rest, Mark and Dan will weave together a rich, spacious soundscape designed to support deep relaxation. This immersive session invites you to rest, listen, and be carried by waves of sound that soothe the nervous system.

Sustained tones, drones, and subtle textures from singing bowls, chimes, and instruments like sitar and harmonium help slow the breath, release tension, and allow the mind to settle naturally into stillness.

Together we’ll create a warm, spacious atmosphere where the body remembers ease. Leave feeling grounded, refreshed, and quietly reconnected, with space for integration afterwards. There is nothing to do and nowhere to go — simply rest, listen, and just be.

No experience is needed—just come as you are, lie down comfortably, and receive.

Your mid week sanctuary awaits, we’ve set the space for your Wednesday reset:

🔥 6:00 PM: Vinyasa (60 mins)
Move the stagnant energy. A strong, fluid hour to shake off the work day and find your rhythm.

☁️ 7:30 PM: Restorative Yin (90 mins)
The ultimate exhale. We trade effort for ease. Grab a bolster (or two), sink into the carpet, and let gravity do the work. 90 minutes of deep, supported stillness to carry you through the rest of the week.

We’re delighted to announce that Ravinder will be hosting a series of wellness workshops over the next few months at Above and Beyond Yoga. Her first workshop will be about Mindful Movement and an Introduction to the 5 Element Theory.

First workshop date is Sunday 1st March 2:00–4:00pm ,cost of workshop is £20.

Ravinder is a CIMSPA registered Yoga and Qigong practitioner with 16 years of experience. She now mainly facilitates Qigong mindful movement for mental health in community groups across Paisley and Govan, and she’s also a Mental Health First Aider. Her sessions are gentle, grounding and accessible, supporting both physical and mental wellbeing. Ravinder also weaves in acupressure and self-care shiatsu techniques, and you’ll finish with a heart-centred guided relaxation.

What to expect in this session

✨ A welcoming introduction to the Eastern medicine approach to health and wellbeing
✨ The basics of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine)
✨ The five elements — Wood, Fire, Earth, Air and Water — and how they connect to our emotions and everyday life
✨ Qigong mindful movements to help release stress and bring balance and stability
✨ A few simple acupressure points you can use to ease tension at home

The session will take place on a mat (mats are provided, but feel free to bring your own). Blankets, cushions and bolsters are available, and chairs can be used if you have any mobility issues.

If you’re curious about Pilates or looking to build a strong, sustainable movement practice, our Classical Pilates classes are a beautiful place to start 🌿

What is Classical Pilates?
Classical Pilates follows the original mat-based exercises developed to create strength, stability, mobility and balance throughout the whole body. The practice focuses on core support, posture, controlled movement and breath—helping you move with more ease in everyday life.

Suitable for beginners
These 60-minute classes are taught in a warm, supportive environment, making them ideal if you’re new to Pilates or returning after a break. Exercises are clearly explained and options are offered so you can work at your own level while gradually building strength and confidence.
