At its core, Reiki training is a practice of awareness, self-regulation, and inner alignment. The hands-on element is only one small part.

Cortisol is a hormone your body needs.
It helps you wake up, regulate energy, control inflammation, and respond to stress. It's actually your friend, although often it seems like our enemy especially during times of heightened anxiety and panic.

The problem isn’t cortisol itself just like anxiety it’s when it stays elevated for too long.

💭 Worry plays a huge role here.
When we constantly worry, the body reads it as ongoing danger even if nothing is happening. That keeps cortisol switched “on,” which can impact sleep, mood, immunity, and overall balance.

✨ This is where Reiki can help.
Reiki supports deep relaxation and activates the body’s natural rest and repair response. When the nervous system feels safe, cortisol can return to its healthy rhythm. When it doesn't feel safe you feel trapped in the fight or flight mode.

Short-term stress can be helpful

Before we try to heal the world, we have to tend to the energy closest to us.
The UK is carrying deep exhaustion right now, financial stress, stretched services, rising crime, and fractured trust.

This space isn’t for political debate this is a Reiki reflection on grounding and responsibility.

True peace isn’t something we declare outwardly.
It’s something we stabilise inwardly.

For leaders like Keir Starmer (and all of us, really), the work starts with:
✨ restoring balance
✨ rebuilding trust
✨ grounding safety, dignity, and financial and physical stability in everyday life

When a nation’s root chakra is unstable, no amount of “higher vision” can hold.
✨ But remember light will always rise over darkness. Keeping your vibrations high is the foundation for real change, both personally and collectively.

Some might say, “The world is our home, we can’t ignore others.”
And they are right but we can’t pour from an empty cup. True service begins with stabilizing where we are first.

Reiki teaches us this truth over and over:
Heal the foundation, and the harmony can rise.

💚 Peace isn’t postponed it’s practised, locally, patiently, honestly.

The world isn’t perfect, and neither are we.
But if no one truly knows what “perfect” is, maybe it isn’t something to chase at all.

Look around, no two leaves are the same, yet every tree stands whole. No two waves mirror each other, yet the ocean feels complete. The cracks, the bends, the storms they are all part of nature’s perfection.

We, too, are like that. Every flaw, every quirk, every stumble makes us real, alive, and beautiful. When we stop measuring ourselves against some impossible ideal and simply be, we become part of this natural rhythm.

Maybe perfection isn’t somewhere out there waiting for us. Maybe it’s been within us all along. So yes… we are all perfect.

And honestly… I’ve been right this whole time

When you gossip, you don’t just talk about someone you exchange energy with them.

Gossip exists at a low vibration. Engaging in it lowers your own frequency and pulls you into emotional and energetic weight that isn’t yours. You begin to absorb negativity that was never meant for you.

Energy follows attention.
What you focus on, judgment, drama, criticism returns to you in similar form.

And remember this: what someone else is doing on their life path is up to them. Their choices, lessons, and timing belong to their journey. Gossip pulls you off your own path and into a story that isn’t yours to carry.

When your vibration is low:

You feel drained and unsettled

You attract more low-frequency experiences

Your peace and clarity fade

So choose differently.

The next time someone tries to gossip to you, let it end with you.
Shift the conversation, hold silence, or respond with compassion.
