The stars and constellations have long been regarded as gods, sacred ancestors, and powerful entities. Created for both tarot readers and astrologers, this beautiful fifty-six-card Minor Arcana deck is comprised of playing cards that have been remastered from original illustrations by John Lenthall, published in 1717. Starlore Arcana presents the mythology and folklore of sixty-three constellations, including the zodiac.

NEW IN Beautiful Witches Brooms, made with Hazelnut for the main stick. Hazel (Corylus avellana)
The hazel tree was an incredibly useful tree in medieval times. Its strong and pliable wood was used for walls and fences, the nuts were ground for flour to make bread, and its medicinal properties were used to heal respiratory complaints. A grove of hazel trees is said to contain magical energies that can help one gain wisdom and insights.
Birch for the twigs.
Birch (Betula pendula)
The birch tree is renowned for its resilience and ability to thrive in harsh conditions. It is a tree always reaching for the light, striving for life.
Often, birch trees were used as maypoles at Beltane fire festivals to symbolise renewal and fertility.
Medicinally, the birch leaves, bark and sap were used in medieval times for their anti-inflammatory properties.
In terms of kitchen magick, a broom made from birch twigs was used to sweep away the old year and bring in the fresh new year.

Every Witch should have a Broom but where should you hang it? my advice is above the door but why?
The symbolism of the broom above the door is that it keeps “dirt” (negative influences, intentions and energies) from coming in.
