The Scottish Government has given the green light for hydrolysis to become a legal funeral option from 2 March.

Although there is not yet an operational hydrolysis facility in Scotland, this new regulation means families will eventually have another funeral choice, alongside burial and cremation. We welcome any change that gives families more choice when planning a funeral for their loved one.

Funeral to be held at Mortonhall Crematorium, Pentland Chapel on Tuesday 24 February at 11.30am. All friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please.

Beloved son of the late George and Bertha, Horsbrugh Castle Farm, much loved brother to Hazel, Jean and the late Violet, and a dear uncle and great uncle. Service at Borders Crematorium, Melrose on Tuesday 3rd February at 2pm, to which all friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please, but donations if desired to the Margaret Kerr Unit.
