I understand the impact that an injury or pain can have on the ability to engage in life and achieve personal goals and prides itself in working with individuals to return to activity or strive to achieve new goals whatever they may be. Physiotherapy is a science based healthcare profession that assesses, diagnoses, treats and manages injury, disease and impairment through physical means. Physioth

erapists have a specialist knowledge in anatomy, pathology, tissue recovery, movement and function and use these principles to work with individuals to assist them to manage or overcome issues that impact on exercise and sport. Kirsty follows clinically sound and scientific principles of management and actively attends update courses and conferences. Physiotherapists can use a variety of treatment and management techniques which may include education, manual therapy, taping, massage and specific exercise prescription. Targeted and individualised exercise programmes are a key part of injury and post-surgical recovery to allow for safe and maximised return to all levels of physical activity or sport. Physiotherapists can also help to identify issues that may be impacting on physical performance in sport and exercise. Through guidance and intervention these can be addressed to help with injury prevention and performance enhancement.
