🦠💉 Autumn Vaccine Update 💉🦠

🦠 Private COVID vaccine service at Pembroke Castle Pharmacy now available - please book an appointment using our website or contact one of our team.

🦠 NHS flu vaccine and COVID boosters start from 1st October.

🦠 Patients eligible for the COVID boosters (75 and over or immunocompromised) will receive a letter from the health board regarding their appointment details. If you would like a flu jab at the same time, you can communicate this to the pharmacist during the appointment - there's no need to organise this in advance. If your spouse/partner has an appointment letter for another day and you'd like to come together, this can also be accommodated. There is no need to ring ahead to confirm this.

🦠NHS & Private flu vaccines can be booked using our website or by contacting the pharmacy. We will also be providing the flu vaccines on a walk-in basis however due to the initial demand, we suggest booking ahead to avoid extended wait times.

🦠We will be running weekend walk-in clinics on Saturday 11th & 25th October. This is for both flu and COVID vaccines and will be running 9am until 5pm.

🤧 Vaccinations update 🤧

The NHS flu vaccination service will start on 1st October. Eligible patients that we can treat at the pharmacy are the same as usual:

💉 Patients aged 65 or over (or turning 65 by 31/03/26)
💉 Patients aged 18-64 in a clinical risk group (diabetes, respiratory/liver/kidney/heart disease, obese, learning difficulties, immunocompromised etc)
💉 Pregnant women
💉 Carers
💉 Frontline health and care workers
💉 Household contacts of the immunocompromised
💉 Homeless people

Our booking platform is now up and running so if you'd like to book an appointment please do this using our service hub:

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK PRIOR TO OCTOBER 1ST - even though slots may appear available before, the service will not be starting until then.

We will also be providing COVID boosters which will be available to all patients aged 75 and over plus the at risk clinical groups. Appointment letters will be sent out to eligible patients by the Health Board. We don't currently have any other details at this time but if you attend our pharmacies for your COVID booster, you will have the option of having a flu jab at the same time.
