I’ve recently deepened my understanding of primitive reflexes and their crucial role in child development.

Primitive reflexes are automatic movements we’re born with, designed to help us survive and develop normally during early infancy. Usually, these reflexes integrate (disappear) as the brain matures. However, when they persist beyond infancy, it can impact development in various ways.

🧠 Do You or Your Child Show These Signs of Retained Primitive Reflexes?

Here are some possible signs of retained primitive reflexes:

✨ Poor Balance & Coordination
✨ Difficulty with Fine Motor Skills (writing, tying shoes)
✨ Sensory Processing Challenges

Clients come to Kinesiology for a range of reasons.

Sometimes they have obvious PHYSICAL symptoms and want help to alleviate them.
