On Wednesday the Ashdale Ramblers girls went for a trip to Boots Haverfordwest Withybush Retail Park where we were treated to ‘A Touch Of Colour’ by the wonderful No7 team.
You made our ladies feel so special, thank you!

We shopped till we dropped and had to stop at M&S cafe for refreshments (the only option, of course 😉).

We’ve got lots of plans for the warmer weather but where do you think we should add to our list?

Our staff have experienced the Dementia Bus and we can say confidently if you have a loved one living with dementia, this may offer you a small window into what life can be like for them.
We highly recommend giving it a go to help you understand their journey a little better.

A beautiful round up of Easter week at Ashdale! We enjoyed the sunshine whether on walks or in our garden, made delicious snacks to share with the whole home, sang, danced and the willows residents enjoyed a spa afternoon with foot massages, face masks and chat about things we do to make ourselves feel good!

The last few weeks our residents have felt all the joys of spring visiting our favourite Stackpole gardens, scolton Manor Park and of course, walks up to the The Royal George, Pembroke!
There’s something so special about being outside in the sunshine and it certainly makes us hungry for supper when we get home!

We enjoyed trips out to Manillas at Neyland marina and our favourite local The Royal George pub over the last month, and made it our mission to get out for a walk around the millpond any time the sun has been sighted. Roll on warm weather, we’re ready for you!

Last week we celebrated world wildlife day and our brilliant staff member Sarah brought in her weird and wonderful pets!
Residents got to hold and talk about her axelotl’s, bearded dragon, musk turtle and the surprisingly cute African land snail.
It was fascinating to learn more about these unusual creatures, huge thanks to Sarah for sharing her wildlife with us!

A wonderful week of St. David’s day activities at Ashdale last week was topped off by a visit from Liam at MamGu Welshcakes to talk to us all about how this local business is flying the Pembrokeshire flag worldwide!

We made beautiful vase cloches and filled them with daffodils, did Welsh themed quizzes and enjoyed a wonderful singalong with Peri Lynn Singer!

Thank you so much for visiting and bringing the best of our country into our home, as the gents here said - Cymru am byth!

Ashdale Care Home is looking for a Catering Team Member to join our friendly team.

What we offer:

About the role:
• Preparing and serving food
• Assisting with basic cooking
• Preparing breakfast and supper for residents
• Helping keep the kitchen and dining areas clean
• Checking deliveries and kitchen equipment

About you:
• Previous catering experience preferred but not essential
• Willing to complete Food Safety Level 2 training
• Interested in working in the care sector

Applicants must be 18+. Employment is subject to references and an enhanced DBS check.
