I went to see a couple of weeks ago.

Lauren was getting some lower back pain that she felt needed some attention. We also found some areas of tension in the upper back/neck.

We used a variety of massage techniques such as myofascial release, deep tissue and trigger pointing to help release and relieve those areas of tension.

It was great to see you and I hope to see you again soon.

💥If you think you would benefit from a sports massage please DM me to book your appointment today💥

What is chronic pain?🤷‍♀️

🗣️Chronic pain is pain that persists for a prolonged period of time, typically 3 to 6 months or more. It can be caused by a variety of conditions or injuries, and can range from mild to severe.
Chronic pain can be physical or emotional, and can have a significant impact on a person's quality of life, including their ability to work, sleep, and engage in daily activities. It is important to seek medical attention for chronic pain, as there are a variety of treatment options available to help manage and alleviate symptoms.

Are you feeling tense and sore after a long week of work or training? If so, a deep tissue massage might be just what you need! 💆‍♀️💆‍♂️

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage that targets the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. It uses slow, firm pressure and techniques such as stripping, friction, and kneading to break up adhesions and knots in the muscles.

Unlike a relaxation massage, which focuses on superficial muscles and is meant to help you unwind, deep tissue massage is more intense and can be somewhat uncomfortable at times. But don't worry, our experienced massage therapists know how to find the right balance of pressure to provide effective treatment without causing pain.

Benefits of deep tissue massage include:

👉 Pain relief: Deep tissue massage can help to reduce chronic pain and muscle soreness.

👉 Improved flexibility: By breaking up adhesions and increasing blood flow, deep tissue massage can improve your range of motion and flexibility.

👉 Better posture: Tight muscles can pull your body out of alignment, but deep tissue massage can help to release tension and restore proper posture.

So why not treat yourself to a deep tissue massage and experience the benefits for yourself? Book your appointment with me today! 💆‍♀️💆‍♂️

💥Say goodbye to muscle knots and tension with trigger point therapy! 💆‍♀️🙌

This technique involves applying pressure to specific points in the muscle to release tension and alleviate pain. Here are a few things to know about trigger point therapy:

1️⃣ Trigger points are tight areas within a muscle that can cause pain in other parts of the body.

2️⃣ Trigger point therapy involves applying pressure to these points, either with your fingers, a massage ball, or a foam roller.

3️⃣ This pressure can help release the tension in the muscle and improve blood flow to the area, reducing pain and discomfort.

4️⃣ Trigger point therapy can be especially helpful for people who suffer from chronic pain, headaches, and muscle soreness.

Give it a try and let me know how it works for you! 😊

💥Torn meniscus💥

What is a torn meniscus?🤷‍♀️

It's a common injury that can happen to anyone, regardless of age or activity level. Your knee joint has two, C-shaped pieces of cartilage called menisci that act as shock absorbers between your shinbone and thighbone. A torn meniscus is a common knee injury that occurs when these pieces of cartilage tear due to overstressing or twisting the knee joint.

The symptoms of a torn meniscus can vary depending on the severity of the injury, but some common signs include swelling, stiffness, pain, and difficulty moving the knee joint.

👉🏼If you experience any of these symptoms, it's important to seek medical attention as soon as possible.

👉🏼Treatment for a torn meniscus can range from rest, ice, physiotherapy to surgery depending on the severity of the injury.

Take care of your body!
