She didn't want to let you down, so Sooz is at it again....this time with a hint of what the Eastfield "theme" may be this year....
Oh we do love to be cryptic....
Will you spot her tomorrow in clinic or maybe just doing her shopping?
In current times we need to raise a smile and she plans to do that for a very good cause that raises money for local and worldwide charities.

Its cervical cancer prevention week. Here's our Sooz answering your questions on the smear test. We know nobody likes to have a smear test but if you have a cervix and you're between the ages 25-65 you should be getting one. Don't put it off - remember the person doing your smear has "seen it all" - don't be embarrassed, don't fear it and get it booked.

Festive Season Opening Hours

Please be advised that the surgery will be CLOSED on the following dates for the Christmas and New Year bank holidays:

CHRISTMAS
Thursday 25th December (Christmas Day)
Friday 26th December (Boxing Day)

NEW YEAR
Thursday 1st January (New Year's Day)
Friday 2nd January
Normal service will resume on Monday 5th January.

DO YOU HAVE ENOUGH MEDICATION?
Please ensure you order any repeat prescriptions well in advance of these dates so you do not run out over the holiday period. Our last date for ordering prescriptions in time to be processed before Christmas is Friday 19th Decmember but please don't forget your pharmacy may need additional time to process on their side too.

💡 Did you know we have Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners (APPs) at Eastfield Medical Practice?

We are delighted to have Fionna and Naomi, our GP Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners (APPs), working as part of our primary care team. They are expert clinicians who can help with muscle, bone, and joint problems – often saving you from needing to see a GP.

👉 When are they available?

Fionna – Friday mornings
Naomi – Wednesday full day & Friday mornings

An APP appointment may be right for you if you have:
✅ Back, neck, shoulder or knee pain
✅ Muscle or joint aches and stiffness
✅ Sports injuries or sprains
✅ Concerns about mobility or posture

Our APPs can:
🔹 Provide expert assessment and advice
🔹 Refer for x-rays and other investigations where needed
🔹 Support self-management and prescribe simple pain relief
🔹 Refer on to physiotherapy, orthopaedics, or other services if required

How to book:
Just ask our reception team for an appointment with Fionna or Naomi when calling or visiting the practice.
