When it comes to menopause, most women are asking the wrong questions.
e.g. what can I take for… my aches and pain, for feeling more energy, for better sleep, for bloating and weight gain,
What can I take to feel better?
This is a really flawed approach but I can completely understand why it happens.
Solving individual symptoms can be a bit like handing the next crayola pen to your toddler, whilst you get to work scrubbing the bedroom wall from yesterday’s game.
You haven’t really addressed the real problem.
You’re going to have to go over the same ground again. And again.
There’s a better way..
Look at what you’re already doing, that might need changing a bit - because the things that create health (physically and mentally) DO change as a response to hormones AND the other things going on in your life.
Yes, I mean food choices, exercise choices, and small habits through the day to help set you up for a decent nights sleep.
Yes there’s loads more to it, but a few tweaks to those few things I’ve just mentioned could make a huge difference to how easy menopause is for you.
You don’t believe that’s going to work, do you?
You don’t believe it’s ‘enough’, do you?
That’s okay. I understand.
You’re wrong though.
And I know it’s easy to assume you’re already doing all you can.
That you eat healthy, so that’s covered.
You try to exercise a few times a week, so you’re good with that.
You do your best with sleep, there’s not much more you can do there.
But you don’t know, what you don’t know 🤷♀️
🍳Calorie controlled ‘balanced’ meals, does not mean the same as hormonally helpful food.
🏋️♀️’Exercise’ could mean pretty much anything 😅 but exercise that supports hormonal health to reduce menopause symptoms, is very specific.
🛌 Making improvements to your sleep quality and quantity, starts in the morning when you’ve just woken up.
These are the kind of things I help people with,
for them to then say to me how much better they feel,
How they feel stronger, more resilient
How much better they’re sleeping
How different they feel now, more confident and capable.
Instead of dealing with individual symptoms, I help them understand why those symptoms are there.
And it’s always MORE than ‘just’ damn oestrogen deficiency 😅
