πŸ₯° We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along to support our very first Easter Fair! We were truly blown away by the incredible turnout and the support from our local community. It meant so much to us all.

πŸ‘πŸΌ We would also like to say a massive thank you to our Activities Lead Coordinator, Nicky, whose vision and passion always keep our residents at the heart of everything she does. And to our incredible staff who gave up their days off to be there, you helped make this a truly special occasion πŸ₯°

Spring is on its way, and here at Glencorse Care Home our focus is turning to the garden 🌼

We have big plans ahead, so keep your eyes peeled!

As we start to think about what we want to see in our garden, from colourful plants and beautiful scents to enjoyable outdoor activities, we’ve been getting hands-on planting seeds and bulbs to bring our ideas to life 🌱🌷

At the same time, we’ve been thinking about our feathered friends too. We spent time making fat balls to hang in the garden, perfect for attracting birds and giving them a little boost 🐦

It’s been a lovely activity, bringing everyone together while getting us excited for the brighter days ahead 🐦

We can’t wait to see our garden come to life!

🎯Game on at Glencorse 🎯

It’s been all about games that keep both the body and the mind active!

We embraced some friendly competition with giant Connect 4, target practice, darts, and giant Kerplunk, testing our skills, coordination, and a bit of strategy along the way.

There were plenty of laughs as our competitive sides came out, and it’s safe to say everyone gave it their all!

All that fun certainly worked up an appetite just in time for lunch 🍽️

Staying active doesn’t always mean exercise, it can be as simple as enjoying games together, keeping our minds sharp and our bodies moving.

As always, we’ve been keeping active πŸ’ͺ

We’ve been making sure we stay moving, keeping our muscles strong and our joints working well. Whether it’s gentle exercises, stretching, or just getting up and about, every little bit counts.

After all, research shows that regular movement can:
β€’ Reduce the risk of falls
β€’ Boost the immune system
β€’ Help us recover more quickly when we’re feeling unwell

And most importantly, it keeps us feeling good, both physically and mentally 😊

Here’s to staying active and enjoying every moment!

🎀✨ An Afternoon with Jack High! ✨🎀

We were delighted to welcome our fantastic entertainer Jack High to Glencorse and what an afternoon it was!

There was plenty of singing, toe-tapping and laughter as Jack had everyone joining in with the classics. The room was full of smiles and wonderful energy from start to finish.

The best part? Some of our residents grabbed the microphone themselves and gave us a performance or two!

πŸŽΆπŸ‘ Nothing beats seeing that confidence shine and hearing everyone cheer each other on.

Music really does bring people together, spark memories and lift the spirit.

Our residents have been busy spreading their creative wings and just look at these beautiful butterflies!

Each piece is unique, full of colour, personality and imagination showcasing the wonderful individuality of our residents.

Creative activities like this aren’t just about making something pretty (although we think they’re stunning!). They support fine motor skills, concentration, self-expression and most importantly bring a real sense of pride and achievement.

There’s something very special about seeing our residents admire their finished work and share it with one another. πŸ¦‹βœ¨
