Let’s talk about something important. The "It's common" spiel we get given when raising our concerns with our GP/midwife/health visitor.
COMMON doesn’t mean NORMAL.
Leaking when you sneeze.
Painful s*x.
A heavy or bulging feeling .
Back pain that won’t go away.
These things are COMMON after having a baby.
But they are NOT normal.
Normal means your body is functioning well.
Common just means lots of women are experiencing something that hasn’t been properly treated.
And you deserve treatment. You don’t have to put up with it.
If something doesn’t feel right — it probably isn’t.
