Relevant anytime, however maybe more so at this time of year. Whether it’s expectation’s other people have of us or those we place upon ourselves it’s so important to learn to take a step back, breathe & pause to avoid becoming overwhelmed.
Ask yourself is this really important, does it matter & if so to who? Allow yourself time to make the right choice for you, maybe prioritise, gift yourself smaller bite size steps that are more realistic & achievable.
One of my friends used to allocate themselves worry time; rather than allow something to consume them, they’d choose to set it aside & pick it back up at the end of the day… more than often by then it was no longer an issue or seemed more manageable…
I also heard recently if you make a list of things that are worrying you before bed, this enables you to ‘ shift’ these thoughts, which can support better sleep.
Stepping outside into nature, closing your eyes if you feel safe enough & breathing in & out through the nose. Tune into your senses to refocus your attention.
