This weeks theme in class was softness, being gentle, loving & kind to ourselves in whatever way we needed.. letting go of the need to do for others which we can often find difficult & instead choosing to take time for self. Tonight’s Nidra was described as a ‘loving caress of energy’ which I thought was a beautiful description.
Thanking the body for its role in allowing us to be there for moments, experiences, appreciating our body & recognising our being extends beyond the physical body, supporting us in experiencing all the joy, learning & evolving in our life. 🙏

A couple of weeks ago I shared a somatic movement practice with two of my regular yogis.

Over many years our body endures physical & emotional tension as a means of protecting ourselves known as ‘Armouring’ If we can consistently learn to move the body slow enough in certain ways, feeling, connecting & noticing our ‘whole’ response whilst supported by breath we can support our body to feel safe thus helping us to regulate our nervous system.
Other benefits of this movement practice are increased joint mobility, hydrated fascia, better awareness of mood & the impact on our BHM

I will soon be sharing the full BHM (body, heart, mind) somatics which I have been studying & learning through practice & case studies with Rowan Carr this past year. With the somatic sequencing we work with the five elements using breathing & movement gestures to support harmony & balance within.

In the near future i will offer sessions on a 1-1 basis & small groups of no more than four people over a number of sessions. I will explain more about this specific practice & the benefits in the coming weeks.
