May is a slightly lighter month for me (a few weekends away and some family time), so you’ll mostly find me at the breastfeeding group every Tuesday afternoon. Don’t hesitate to come along for support — you’re always welcome to try, hire, or get help with newborn babywearing there too, with FREE stretchy wrap hire.

I’ll also be at two Blaze Trails walks, where I’ll be offering free support, with £15 sling hire available, plus easy pick-up and drop-off options.

If you’d prefer something more tailored, you can always DM to book a 1:1 session, either at mine or in your home.

And don’t forget, Birth & Beyond antenatal education is happening on 28th May, where we’ll be talking all things birth planning.

If you’re thinking about birth doula support, postnatal visits, or a one-to-one session, it’s always okay to get booked in early for June and beyond.

I’m here whenever you need.

If your carrier feels fiddly, it’s usually not you, it’s just that no one’s shown you how to make it work with your body and baby, instead of against it.

Here I’m showing a simple way to get baby in with less faff, less awkward reaching, and a lot more comfort for both of you.
Babywearing shouldn’t feel stressful or like a workout before you’ve even left the house haha! It can just take a few small tweaks can make a big difference.

If you’re ever unsure, I can help you find a way that actually feels good and works for your day-to-day life.

You are NOT an inconvenience. Your needs matter, and you’re ALWAYS allowed to change your mind.

You don’t have to agree to a recommendation straight away, and you’re always within your rights to ask for more information, take some time to think, or step away and come back to a decision when it feels right for you, rather than saying yes out of pressure, uncertainty, or not wanting to feel difficult.

If you’re unsure, message anytime or book a 1-1 session to get more informed.

Water in labour can mean less pain, fewer interventions, and more instinctive birth.

For some women, it’s a powerful tool alongside movement, breathing, and G&A.

In March 2026, just 3.5% of births in Cumbria happened in water, so it’s worth asking… are all options being fully explored?

Whatever your circumstances, you deserve clear, balanced information on the benefits and risks, so you can make the choice that feels right for you.

Birth works best when it’s undisturbed, but the system isn’t built for undisturbed birth.

It’s built around protocols, timelines and observations.
They’re designed to manage risk which can disturb the environment your body is trying to labour in and your body responds.

Oxytocin which is the hormone that drives labour, best flows when you feel safe, private, and unobserved.
Add the pressure, interruption and unfamiliar eyes…that flow can change and labour can slow and the cascade of intervention can begins.

This isn’t anti-hospital or medical birth.
It’s pro-understanding and informed birth.

Because when you know how your physiology works, you can protect it wherever you choose to give birth.
Book the next session to come and learn more.

Let’s talk about the thing no one really talks about…

Many breastfeeding parents will at some point fall asleep with their baby. Whether that’s planned or not, it happens. And when we don’t talk about it openly, when we are told it’s unsafe, and hide it, it increases the risk.

This isn’t about encouraging or discouraging bed sharing, you do you, but a baby biologically wants and needs to be close to you to feel safe, settled and to sleep. So let’s look at recognising reality and making sure families have the information they need to do it as safely as possible.

The key is understanding how to reduce risk.

The Safe Sleep 7 gives clear guidance on when bed sharing and co sleeping is considered lower risk:
– Non-smoker
– Sober (no alcohol or drugs)
– Breastfeeding baby
– Healthy, full-term baby
– Baby on their back
– Lightly dressed baby
– Safe sleep surface (firm mattress, no pillows/duvets near baby)

For trusted, evidence-based guidance, you can visit The Lullaby Trust and LLLGB websites.

And if you want to feel confident, prepared, and actually talk it through in a way that makes sense for your life, I offer 1:1 sessions where we go through safe sleep, feeding, and real-life scenarios, without fear or judgement.

You deserve to feel informed, safe in your choices ,not scared.

A walk in fresh air. A warm room with people who get it. A quiet 1:1 where you can ask anything.

I’ve always been a little different…
but now more than ever, I’m unlearning everything that told me to shrink …physically and metaphorically.

Especially in pregnancy, birth, and motherhood.
There is another way.
And you get to choose it, if it’s right for you.
