David Black is a director of Paragon Vet Group, an independent mixed practice in Cumbria, and VetSalus, a global consultancy and collaboration of livestock vets.

He has a particular interest in cattle fertility and advanced breeding.

David is a founder, director and treasurer of Vet Sustain, a social enterprise with a vision for the veterinary professions to be leading forces for sustainability.

He is passionate about vet-led businesses, global veterinary collaboration, One Health and veterinary sustainability.

"I joined Paragon in August 2024 working at our Newbiggin site. I love working in our team here and each day brings something different to face and a new challenge. I try to help keep things in the office running as smoothly as possible by keeping registration paperwork up to date, invoice logging, domestic shipments of embryos, general office administration and any other duties required!"

Outside of work he loves spending time with his family, cooking, gardening at home and in his allotment and travelling as much as possible 👨🏼‍🍳✈️
