💕 🐑 Who doesn’t love the baby lambs 🐑 💕
Let’s be honest, one of the great experiences of visiting the The Lake District, Cumbria in the spring is seeing those little playful lambs in the fields.
This weekend the youngest member of the Lakes For All team got to have his first experience of feeding them at Greenlands Farm Village, and let’s just say he was over the moon 🥰
This has prompted this post, where can you enjoy the lambs during your spring holiday with us?
There are a few options:
Greenlands Park Farm is located 45minutes south and is a fantastic place to visit and great value for money at just £5. With a cafe onsite, a small farm shop and farm animals to feed and discover. The farm area is mostly paved with some cracked/uneven areas as you would expect on a farm but suitable for most power chairs. They have lambs already and continue lambing through to early May. Plus, you can easily combine it with a stop at Tebay Services as featured on Channel 4 with their lovely cafe, changing places and delicious farm shop.
Lake District Wildlife Park is located 40min east near Keswick. Again the park is accessible throughout and it homes your usual farm animals such as sheep, goats, donkeys and alpacas as well as some more exotic animals such as zebra, meerkats and red panda.
Walby Farm Park is 40min north near Carlisle and is most suited for young families looking to combine a farm visit with high adrenaline soft play. Walby is the more expensive option but has two indoor play areas- a hard play and a soft play with the biggest slide we’ve seen 🙈 outside you can feed sheep, cows, horses, rabbits and pigs.
💾 Save this for your next spring visit to the Lakes.
Or even better snap up the last of our spring availability at Rose Cottage and visit them this spring.
