📣 it’s here, it’s finally here 📣

That’s right, our brand new Repose Madison Porter Chair has arrived. We are so excited!

Thanks to HWB Mobility who have been fabulous at discussing all the options and helping us choose the most versatile rise and recline chair for our guests.

Beautifully modelled by Asha, our current guest, who is the first to test this fab rise and recline chair. And what’s her review I hear you ask, well, Asha said ‘I love the chair, it has been just as comfy as the one she has at home’.

Perfectly fitting review to our ultimate aim, to create a home away for home for our guests.

We hope our next visitors, Steve and his family, feel just as at home this week 😊

We are so excited to finally have a rise and recline chair heading to Rose Cottage 🛋️ it’s been on our wish list since we started our build in 2023.

HWB Mobility have been amazing at helping us navigate the choices and pick the most versitile for our guests. Thank you for all your help Andrew😊

♿️ Helping accessible holiday home owners to attract more people by supplying them with the right disability equipment is a real passion of ours so we were thrilled when Katy from Lakes For All got in touch about a specialist chair.

🗣 Following some long chats about what the chair was needed for, what equipment it needed to be compatible with, fabrics, pressure relief, etc etc, the chair that was decided upon was the Madison by Repose; the 🇨🇭 Swiss army knife of specialist chairs. Not only is it a porter chair, capable of moving people around in total comfort, it is also a dual tilt-in-space riser recliner chair with a 20 stone weight capacity. This particular one is also having a wireless battery pack fitted so the rise and recline functions can be operated away from a power source.

😁The chair goes into production this week and delivery will be soon after so make sure you are following Lakes for All on here for updates!

🐾🐶 Keswick Scruffs 🐶🐾

We had a wonderful morning visiting Keswick Scruffs today. Certainly one for your diary if you are a dog lover thinking of staying with us in June.

This lovely community dog show take place annually in Fitz Park- a beautiful park with an accessible pathway around the outside, a great play park for little visitors, and a fab social enterprise cafe . With the River Greta flowing through the park and views of the surrounding hills it’s lovely place to visit at any time (we like to enjoy a chippy tea in the park in the summer) but Scruffs makes it all the more inviting.

Our children were in heaven today with so many four legged friends to be made. We even found one of todays veteran pooches who had wheels of his own and two adorable German Shepards who looked very hot in todays ☀️

For visitors who are sensitive to noise we recommend bringing ear defenders as there is music playing at the event. We also recommend them on sunny days in Keswick in general as we often have fighter jets passing over.

A wonderful local event full of fun resulting in lots of questions about ‘can we get a dog?’ 🤭

Very excited to see our nearest accessible attraction making the The Guardian top 20 gardens in the UK.

Lowther Castle and Gardens is just a 2minute drive from Rose Cottage and is a firm favourite of our whole family. We highly recommend a visit.

SPRING HAS ARRIVED IN

Finishing cleaning day in the sun with the smallest member of the Lakes For All team enjoying a stroll along our nearest accessible walk…..JUST 1 MILE AWAY!

Can you believe this slice of heaven is just 1 MILE FROM ROSE COTTAGE?

Parking at the Low Saw Mill car park on the Lowther Estate (follow the signs for Askham) this lovely river path makes a wonderful 2km out and back accessible walk.

REASONS WE LOVE THIS WALK
1. It’s so close and suitable for wheelchairs, buggy’s, and bikes.

2. Enjoy the sensory of nature with our family. Walter LOVES touching the trees as you can see.

3. Herons often frequent in the river - we saw one today but he was camera shy!

4. Just turn the sound up on our video, it speaks for itself….calm

5. Plenty of space to enjoy a picnic

I just wish we had smell-ivision so you could enjoy the aroma of the blanket of wild garlic we saw today 🧄 if like us you enjoy bringing nature and cooking together here is our big tip. Pick the leaves, blitz, mix with butter and freeze for delicious homemade garlic butter 👌🏽
