My worst kept secret 🤭 I was too excited, so many of you know already but our little sauna will be nestled in the woodland in the private grounds of ! As well as enjoying the trees, we still have lake access!

This is a really special place and I’m excited for some crisp winter mornings tending the fire (probably some soggy ones too).

Join us for a steam in December… bookings will go live this weekend.

Hi all!

As a small business, we do feel the impact of late cancellations and rescheduling. There have been over 30 sessions this week alone with people getting days wrong or asking to reschedule at short-notice.

On an individual basis, it might feel unfair not to move things around but when you start to do it for everyone, it really does cost the business.

As we approach winter and there are more likely to be bugs about, please change your sessions at your earliest opportunity. Sessions cancelled within 48 hours will not be refunded or rescheduled.

I read once that in Finland, you don’t ask “how hot is the sauna?”

Instead you ask “how is the löyly?”

Löyly [low-lu] translates to water poured on sauna stones and/or the steam that rises as a result.

It is more than the heat. It is the air flow, the feel of the sauna.

We are proud of the different löyly we have created in our saunas and as we get into the colder months we look forward to sharing it with visitors to both Ullswater and Derwentwater 💛

Join us for a dreamy Sunday morning connecting with nature and ourselves.

We will begin with a slow, warming yoga flow with Claire, at the beautiful Soulands Studio, Dacre.

After class, enjoy time to stay grounded while we share hot drinks, light snacks with our small group before meeting again at the lake.

Enjoy our wood-fired, lake-side sauna with an essential oil ritual, meditation and skin products for you to try. A truly deeply nourishing wild spa experience immersed in nature.

Autumn has really let us know she’s here 🥶 🍂

What an amazing summer we have had! I had assumed there would be a bit of a dip in sauna goers while the weather was a bit warmer and the lake has been pretty balmy… but turns out it’s very much a summer activity too 🫶🏻

September has some lovely bits and bobs - next Friday .beth_ is holding some wonderful sound healing at Soulands studio and there’s the option to add a Fellside sauna session afterwards (see link in her bio).

Next Saturday is the fantastic Fells and Flow festival at with there will be wild swims, paddleboarding, yoga, saunas (book through the specific link in my bio or through ) and informative talks! Definitely something to check out!

And next Sunday morning, just to extend the loveliness we are delighted to host .yoga for a yoga flow in a stretch tent, teas and coffees, ending with a sauna session by the lake together.

Tickets will be live at 12pm - limited places so please book early to avoid missing out!

There’s yoga, sound baths, talks, paddleboarding, BOTH of our Fellside Saunas, guided wild swims and just lovely times to be had on the lake shore!

✨Hello, I’m Laura ~ Fellside Sauna founder✨

Seeing as it’s been a little over a year since we began building our first little sauna i thought it would be good to do a little reintroduction.

I enjoy being active and getting out into the Lake District as much as possible. I run, cycle, paddleboard and will also happily sit and read my book by the lake. I don’t get anywhere fast but I enjoy it anyway (although uphill Laura is a very different person to downhill Laura).

I also love practicing yoga and due to having such amazing instructors over the years it’s one of the main reasons I’ve began retreat days and Yoga/ Sauna collaborations this year.

I am a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and have a small private practice alongside the sauna.

You will often find me at the Sauna with a cup of tea in hand or more recently wandering and exploring Keswick where we have just moved 🏠

Ultimate bucket list trips - India 🇮🇳 and South America (which I know is a whole continent - top of the list is Peru 🇵🇪) and Finland 🇫🇮 (to experience the sauna 🧖🏼‍♀️

I look forward to meeting more of you and am excited to see what the future of Fellside Saunas holds 🌟
