The change is long overdue.

PCOS is now being referred to as PMOS — Polycystic Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome.

It was never just about “cysts.”
The shift from PCOS to PMOS reflects something much bigger:
a growing recognition that this is a complex metabolic, hormonal and systemic condition affecting the whole body.

One of the most significant renames in modern medicine, this change marks an important step forward in women’s health research, awareness and validation.

Because when medicine changes the language, it changes the conversation too.
Women deserve to be understood beyond a prescription and a dismissal.

Don’t struggle in silence, you deserve support that understands and listens.

Comment “PMOS” or send us a message.

This is what works for me as a busy woman in her late 30s.

A whole food diet, optimal hydration, and circadian fasting.

Here is my recipe for these delicious Sweet Potato Adaptogen Brownies 🍫

Sweet Potato Adaptogen Brownies

Ingredients

1 cup mashed sweet potato
1 cup unsweetened almond butter
2 large eggs
3 tbsp pure maple syrup
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 scoop mushroom adaptogen blend
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of sea salt
2 squares 80% dark chocolate

Method
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (fan oven) and line a large brownie tin with baking paper.
2. In a large bowl, combine the wet ingredients: mashed sweet potato, almond butter, eggs, and maple syrup. Mix until smooth.
3. Add the dry ingredients: protein powder, mushroom adaptogen blend, cocoa powder, baking powder, and sea salt. Stir until fully combined into a thick batter.
4. Pour the mixture into the prepared brownie tin and spread evenly.
5. Break the dark chocolate into small chunks and press them into the batter, ensuring they are partially covered.
6. Bake in the oven for:
💗23 minutes for fudgy/gooey brownies
💗25 minutes for a balanced texture
💗Up to 35 minutes (an additional 10 minutes) for a more cakey finish
7. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before slicing into squares.
8. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.

I feel vulnerable sharing this post especially the last slide, but the time feels right.

Freya Clinic is entirely woven out of my own personal experiences as a woman, navigating her way through the complexities of life.

The more we listen to the whole woman and her experiences, the more we can heal. And that is my mission at Freya.

Thank you to everyone who has followed along since the beginning and to the new women who have recently joined 🤍

Mother’s Day can look different for all of us.

Remember, your experience is your truth and your feelings are valid. Whatever choice you make today is the one that’s right for you—and it’s always okay to change your mind.

Please share if this resonated or if you feel it can help another 🤍
