This is not another “New Year, New Me” post that seem to be everywhere at the moment. If, like me, you’ve just emerged out of the manic (but mostly lovely) Christmas bubble and are feeling a little depleted, I’m here to tell you you don’t need another bullet point on your to-do list. The weather is pretty rubbish, it’s dark when you wake up and long before you go to bed. There’s lots of nasty bugs going around and everyone feels a bit sluggish after a couple of weeks of indulgence. I’m proposing we take it slow and are as kind to ourselves as we would be to our best friends. Now really is the perfect time for self-care, whether that looks like curling up with a book in the evenings, or drinking more water or having a massage. The world is a scary (and often incredibly dark) place right now, so please take good care of yourself ✨
