If Christmas is hard,

The star in the sky,
The robin outside,

Direct cremation is becoming more common, but we’re seeing how it can leave families struggling to grieve. Without a chance to gather, honour a life or say goodbye, many people tell us they feel they’ve missed an important step in their healing.

There are gentle alternatives, and we’re always here to talk through the options. And if you feel you must choose a direct cremation, we can still offer personal touches and moments of meaning that the large national companies don’t provide.

Impatient Drivers.

There have been several news articles about this in recent weeks.

Sadly, we’re encountering this more often — impatient drivers pushing into or overtaking funeral processions. We always page the hearse away from our premises as a mark of respect, yet some drivers can’t even wait for that short distance before overtaking.

A funeral cortege is a moment of dignity and reflection, and taking just a little time to pause means so much to the families saying their final goodbyes.

Thank you to everyone who shows patience and kindness when they see a funeral procession — your respect truly matters.

For those attending the funeral, please park at the pay & display carpark at Falmouth Rugby Club, (The Recreation Ground, Dracaena Ave, Falmouth TR11 2FB) there will be a complimentary shuttle bus running to the church.

Following the service you are warmly invited to Gylly Beach Cafe where the family will join you following a private committal.

The bus will provide a shuttle service from the church to Gylly Beach and then back to the Rugby Club.
