Flu levels are reported to be higher this year compared with last.

NHS and private flu vaccinations still available at Hendras Pharmacies. Book at https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/vaccination-and-booking-services/book-flu-vaccination/ if you are eligible for a FREE NHS flu jab, or https://pharmadoctor.co.uk/patient/locations/south-west/truro/Hendras-Penryn-Ltd-TR108BH-14765 for a private flu jab (£25).

You can also walk in to either pharmacy for both, but there might be a little wait if we are busy.

Both branches of Hendra can provide free NHS flu vaccines to eligible people - just phone the pharmacy of your choice or walk-in.

They also have stock of flu vaccines & Covid -19 boosters for anyone who would like to book a private vaccine.

People receiving tax credits are being moved to Universal Credit. It is important to note that Universal Credit does not automatically entitle patients to help with their health costs.

To continue being entitled to free NHS prescriptions, patients must meet the Universal Credit criteria for help with health costs or qualify under another valid exemption reasons.

Hendra Pharmacy in Market Street is open tomorrow morning as normal. The pharmacist is able to give both private and free NHS flu vaccinations to eligible patients.

The cost of a private vaccine is £20.
