As a follow on from my previous post …
I personally believe we (society in the UK) have become completely reliant on the NHS especially primary care to fix us when we have not tried to fix ourselves.
There is so much sound advice … often foods we can eat, tinctures and herbs to take. This knowledge that would have been passed down from generation to generation in the past.
This knowledge, the understanding of natural medicine, Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine, that has stood the test of 1000’s of years of use should be integrated into our NHS as a way to prevent ill-health as well as fix it.
Thus avoiding the use of expensive and unnecessary pharmaceuticals.
I’m not in any way ANTI Western medicine … it has its place … of course it does. Who wouldn’t want surgery to remove a tumour or drugs to assist in conceiving a pregnancy … my point is … there is more choice out there.
I run a busy clinic but it could be a lot busier if people realise it’s easy to make a few minor adjustments in lifestyle, food consumption and, in combination with acupuncture ill health and disease can be reduced and prevented in some cases. We should all be thinking about taking ownership of our own health and this may include ‘alternative’ methods such as Chinese medicine and acupuncture.
Acupuncture can be life changing … in a completely positive direction.

In a randomized controlled trial, results demonstrated that can be efficacious in improving , quality of life, and affective symptoms for patients with ischemic .

An improvement between the patients was also observed in the PSQI after 4 weeks of treatment throughout follow-up, as well as actigraphic variable TST, stroke-specific quality of life (SSQoL) and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) scores at the end of treatment, and SSQoL and depression scores at follow-up.
