Yesterday at Swansea Terrace theatre 🎭 our stage was set 👀 our lights were ready and our residents and staff were excited to meet the superstars of our performance, the wonderful dancers from En pointe academy of dance, Preston!
And WOW what a show it was. From 18 month to seniors the students not only danced with absolute beauty but they also interacted with our residents showing off their show costumes and thrilling us with chatter. They even handed out jingle bells so we could all join in 🫶🏻
I tell you, a few hearts melted 🫠

A Heartwarming Remembrance Service 🌺
Yesterday we came together for a special remembrance service led by our wonderful local vicar, Clive.
It was a beautiful occasion, filled with shared company, touching moments, and memories. ❤️

Residents had the chance to get involved, with some reading heartfelt poems, while Bob wowed us with an amazing solo. (We hope you enjoy it as much as we did)
We also watched touching performances on screen, sang together, and reflected on the significance of the day. 🎶

To top it all off, we enjoyed some delicious treats—red velvet cake, Victoria sponge, and homemade scones! 🍰✨

Our Garden of Remembrance was proudly displayed, with poppies handmade by our very own residents. 🌸 And we finished the day with a good old sing-along to some classic pub songs:
🎵 “Any Old Iron”
🎵 “Knees Up Mother Brown”
🎵 “My Old Man”
🎵 And many more!

Swansea Terrace Celebrates Remembrance with Fun and Laughter! 🇬🇧🎉

What an afternoon! Our Remembrance celebrations kicked off with lots of learning, fun, and a touch of nostalgia. We were joined by some wonderful visitors from Preston City Council, including Mel Close (Armed Forces Champion) and Dave Abbot (Armed Forces Coordinator, Preston North End Community Trust). 🏅
Mel and Dave also offered lots of support to our veterans including room visit which was wonderful 🌺

The residents had a blast with a quiz, and the prizes were a big hit! 🏆 Everyone shared stories, laughed, and reminisced about the good ol’ days. And of course, no celebration is complete without cake! 🍰

Thank you to everyone who came and made it such a memorable day! 💙

Sometimes it’s not just about crafts, singing, or events — it’s about keeping active while having fun!
Team games bring out a bit of friendly competition, boost metabolism, lift moods, and, of course, fill the room with laughter — and we all know laughter is good for the soul.
Here at Swansea, we’re all about family and doing what’s best for our residents and staff. Together, we truly know how to create a happy home. 💕

Celebration at Swansea Terrace ✨
Today we celebrated Diwali — a day filled with love, laughter, and togetherness. The warmth and friendship shared at Swansea Terrace was truly heartwarming. 💖
We enjoyed puzzles, made beautiful clay lamps ready to be painted, shared delicious food, and was serenaded by some of our talented staff.
