🎩We are currently looking for casual Driver/Bearers to join our team.🎩

This role involves driving our funeral fleet and assisting with bearing duties at funerals. It would particularly suit a retired professional seeking occasional, dignified work.

By joining us, you’ll become part of a caring and compassionate team, dedicated to supporting families and helping provide dignified goodbyes for their loved ones.

Applicants should be physically fit, flexible, and ideally be willing to be part of our on-call rota when required. A good local knowledge of the area would also be a real advantage.

If you are reliable, smart, and able to carry out the role with respect and sensitivity, we would be delighted to hear from you.

It is with great sadness, the family announce the passing of Barbara, peacefully, surrounded by family, at St Catherine's Hospice, on Sunday 24th August 2025. Barbara is now reunited with her beloved husband Colin.
A loving mother to Paul and Karl, and a dear sister to Lynda and Graeme, Barbara will be deeply missed.

Barbara's funeral will take place at Charnock Richard Crematorium on Wednesday, 17th September 2025 at 1:30pm followed by a Service of Thanksgiving at Hope Methodist Church, New Longton, Preston at 3:15pm. Barbara would be happy for those wishing to attend to wear colourful clothing or black if they prefer.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Matthew (Alan) Kirkham, aged 76 years, who died peacefully on 31st August 2025. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, Alan will be fondly remembered for his love of the countryside, and the kindness he showed to all who knew him.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at St. Michaels Church, Much Hoole, PR4 5JQ on Friday, 12th September 2025 at 10:30am. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend.
Following the service, everyone is welcome to join us at The Dolphin Inn, Longton, to share memories and refreshments. Family flowers only, please. With great sadness, the family announce the passing of Kathleen (Kate) Rhodes, peacefully at home on Monday 1st September 2025 at 1.30pm. Kate was the beloved wife of Dave, much-loved step-mum to Laura, mother-in-law to John, and a wonderful Grandma to Alfie and Daisy. She was also a dear sister to Val and a cherished cousin to Eileen.

Kate’s loss is an immeasurable one for her family and friends. Taken far too soon, she will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

The funeral will take place at Charnock Richard Crematorium on Tuesday, 16th September at 12.30pm. It is at the families request that we share the sad passing of Rosemary Damerham

"To all of Rosemary's friends,
It is with deep sadness that we announce that Rosemary passed away 3 weeks ago, 9 August 2025.
We are devastated by this sudden loss and find it hard to imagine a world without mum's infectious laughter, love of colour, and boundless creativity.
We have brought her back home to England from New Zealand to lay her to rest, as she would have wanted. A funeral for Rosemary will be held at midday on Saturday the 6th of September at Saint Teresa's Church, Penwortham, Preston.

We hope you can join us in celebrating and remembering our vibrant Rosemary. With love, her family."

At the request of her family, we share with great sadness the passing of their wonderful Pam — a truly fantastic woman who filled the lives of her loved ones, and all who knew her, with love, laughter and warmth.

Pam’s sun set on 16th August 2025, following a short illness borne with immeasurable strength, aged 74 years.

She is the adored wife of Jim, devoted mum of Emma, much-loved and loving Nana of Georgia, Mia and Lexi, and a doting Nannie (“Tiny Nana”) to Louis, Cole, George, Junior, Olympia, and not forgetting Alfie 🐾.

Pam touched so many lives with her kindness and love, and her light will be carried forever in the hearts of all who knew her.

A Service to Celebrate Pam’s Life will take place at West Lancashire Cemetery and Crematorium on Friday, 12th September 2025 at 12 noon.
Pam would have wished for everyone to feel welcome, whether you were a friend of hers, Jim’s, Emma’s or one of her beloved grandchildren, whose lives have all been enriched by such wonderful support networks.

In keeping with Pam’s vibrant spirit, her family request that attendees reflect this by avoiding dark clothing and instead wearing something colourful.
