I fell in love with clay when I made my first coil pot when I was 16! I've been making pots and sculptures for over 40 years..and still love it and feel so blessed to have this as my job.
I love to share my passion and knowledge for ceramics with people and I'm very excited to combine my ancestral healing work with Raku ceramics in my upcoming retreat in May.

EARTH | SPIRIT | FIRE is more than a ceramics workshop ~ it's a sacred space to reconnect with yourself, your creativity and your ancestral roots through the grounding practice of hand-building with clay and the transformative power of fire.

In this week long women's creative retreat, we’ll explore the ancient art of Raku and low-fired ceramics, alongside gentle ancestral healing rituals and moments of deep connection. You’ll leave not only with beautiful hand-formed vessels and sacred items for your altar, but also with a renewed sense of clarity, calm and connection to those who came before you.

There are twin and solo occupancy rooms available at the beautiful location - nestled in 7 acres of magical woodland, within minutes of Merry Maidens Stone Circle, the wild Cornish coast and main transport links.

Nsoromma is the Akan word for ‘star’. Literally translated, it means ‘child of the heavens’ and it carries one of the most beautiful ideas in Akan spiritual philosophy: that each one of us is a child of the divine, held in guardianship by a power far greater than ourselves.

As a symbol, Nsoromma speaks of faith, protection and the watchful presence of something above and beyond us. The star is a light that cuts through darkness. In the Akan worldview, the stars are also intimately connected with the spiritual world and with the beloved dead who continue to watch over us, co-creating with the divine for our greatest good.

You are not alone. You have never been alone. The stars that guided your ancestors home are still guiding you.

We live in a world that can feel profoundly unsafe, one that asks us to carry so much alone. Nsoromma whispers: you are a child of the heavens. You are not carrying this alone. The ones who loved you and have gone before you are still here, shining their light into your particular night.

In my ancestral healing work, I witness again and again the profound relief that comes when someone truly feels, not just knows, but feels, that their wise and loving ancestors are present. That is what this symbol holds.

If you feel called to Ancestral Healing but not sure if it's for you, you're very welcome to get in touch and have a free discovery call with me. We can talk through what it's all about and you can ask me any questions you might have.

Send me a DM or find the link in my bio.

Catherine 💙

Hi, I’m Catherine, welcome to my world!
I’ve had a few more followers recently and I wanted to introduce myself.

When I was 16 I made my first coil pot and found that I could do it! It came naturally to me and felt a strong connection to my ancestors working through my hands as I shaped the clay.

As a little girl I never felt like I belonged and felt lost as the only black person in my family and my community.

My discovery of the Adinkra symbols was a key to me reconnecting with my Ghanaian ancestors.

Receiving a Travelling Fellowship supported me to go to Ghana and find my father! 🇬🇭

I used my creativity to connect with my ancestors and draw on them for guidance, inspiration and support.

I curated an exhibition called Sanctuary which showcased my work alongside my dear friends Irene Mensah and Rafael Berrio.

Everything changed when I became a mum and moved to Cornwall. I built a successful business

I was featured in
magazine and in
and appeared on Rick Stein’s Cornwall TV show!

I received another grant called Develop Your Creative Practice. I used this to reconnect with my love of the Adinkra symbols and experiment with new ideas. This led to an exhibition at Newlyn Art Gallery.

I went on to train in Ancestral Lineage Healing with my amazing teacher of Ancestral Medicine and support clients, 1-1 online and in-person, to heal ancestral trauma and embody their ancestral gifts.

I also offer transformational retreats which weave together ancestral healing, Raku ceramics and ritual in the wild landscape of Cornwall.

My next retreat in EARTH | SPIRIT | FIRE from 17th-22nd May 2026

DM for a chat about the retreat or how I can support your with ancestral healing. You can also find all the details in my 🔗bio.

With love and ancestral blessings,
Catherine

Adinkrahene means ‘King of the Adinkra Symbols’.

It's the source. The centre. The symbol from which everything else radiates outward.
Its three concentric circles are thought to have been inspired by ripples spreading outward from a single drop of water, a beautiful image of how one small act, one moment of genuine connection, can travel far beyond what we can see or measure.
Adinkrahene represents authority, leadership, charisma and greatness.

Last week, Sankofa asked us to turn and look back, to reclaim the wisdom, traditions and ancestral gifts we may have left behind. It was a symbol of courageous return.
This week, Adinkrahene asks something different. Before we can truly receive what we have gone back for, we must first recognise that there is a centre in us. A still point. A place of inner authority that was always ours, before the world started telling us who to be, what to do, or where we belonged.

Journal prompts & relections
Find a quiet moment, perhaps with a candle lit. Then explore:

Where in your life do you feel most centred, most deeply yourself? What is present in those moments?
What does ‘greatness’ truly mean to you? Not the world’s version, but your own?
What ripples have you already sent outward in your life that you may not yet be able to see the full reach of?
Who in your ancestry held quiet authority, a centred inner power that others could feel? What do you know or sense of them?

Allow whatever arises to be met with gentleness. You are the centre of your own story. The circles begin with you.

If you feel called to begin your ancestral healing journey, I'd be happy to help and answer any questions you might have. Book a free discovery call with me and let's talk. Link below.

I'd love to know what came up for you if you took some time to reflect on and answer the questions. Feel free to comment below.

I would love to invite you to a new online gathering, a safe, loving circle to connect and commune with your wise and well ancestors.

The Community Ancestor Circle is an affordable and accessible way to continue healing your ancestral lineages and receive the blessings and support of your elevated ancestors. It's a space of warmth, ritual and deep ancestral connection held with care, from wherever you are in the world.

✨ Our first circle
Sunday 22nd March: 3 - 4.30pm GMT
Online • Investment: £15

This circle is open to anyone who has already completed an Ancestral Assessment Session, either with me or with another practitioner in the Ancestral Medicine Network.

If you haven’t yet had your Ancestral Assessment Session, I’d love to welcome you in with a special combined offer:

🌿 Ancestral Healing Assessment + Ancestor Circle Access for £45

This is a beautiful way to begin your ancestral healing journey and step straight into the circle.

Our first gathering falls on World Water Day, a truly beautiful alignment. We will be honouring this with a sacred Water Ritual, calling on the cleansing, healing and flowing energy of water as we open our ancestral space together.

During our time together you'll experience two drop-in sessions with your ancestors, with quiet time after each one to journal and make notes on any messages, guidance or blessings you receive. You may wish to have a notebook and pen close by.

If you can't make it live, there'll be a replay available for all who register.

I truly can't wait to gather with you in this sacred space.

With love and ancestral blessings,
Catherine x

Adinkra Symbol of the Week: Sankofa

Originating from Ghana, Sankofa is one of the most beloved and widely recognised Adinkra symbols. In Twi, the word breaks apart simply: San (return), Ko (go), Fa (fetch). Go back and get it.

Learn from your mistakes and the mistakes of your ancestors. Look back and bring forward what is useful for your own life and the lives of your ancestors. Keep the lessons and leave the rest.

The wisdom of learning from the past to create a better future.

Journal prompts and reflections:
Take a moment to sit quietly, perhaps with a candle lit, then explore:

What from your ancestral past, a tradition, a story, a way of being, might be worth turning back to reclaim?

Is there something you left behind in your life that still calls to you? What would it mean to return for it?

What knowledge or wisdom do you hold that came from those before you?

Sankofa is at the very heart of ancestral lineage healing. Every session I hold is an invitation to turn back, not to be consumed by the past, but to recover what was left there. The wise and loving ancestors who hold our lineage are waiting to meet us and support us.

In my EARTH | SPIRIT | FIRE retreat this May, we will work with the energy of Sankofa through ritual, ceremony and clay. We'll turn and look back and carry what we find forward into the fire of transformation.

If you feel the pull of this symbol, I’d love to hear what it stirs in you. Share below, or come and explore it with me.

With love and ancestral blessings,
Catherine x
