Message for a friend! Happy New Year. Here's to lots of creativity, joy, valuing what we have, learning and sharing.

This was a genuine message I sent to friend when I saw she had a Cordyline, also known as Ti Plant or Lily Palm growing outside her house.

I'll share what I made soon.

Love a good forage!

Wishing you a Wild & Sweet festive break. See you in 2026.

I found hawberries still good to pick! It's so important to get outside in the winter months, both for the light and fresh air, and sometimes it's possible to find edible berries too!

Finding these reminded me of making my Haw Berry Jam Baked Cheesecake.

Sooo comforting on a cold, wet wintery day like today.

The full recipe is in my Wild and Sweet cookbook - perfect as a winter gift to yourself or others.

I've been busy! Come see these at Winter Fayre 13-14th December 11am-5pm daily in Morrab Gardens.

Each bowl has been handmade using local plants, from pine needles to summer grasses. Can't wait to share them with you!

They'll be on sale alongside my foraging books, handmade cordage (string) and gift vouchers.

THANK YOU Seaweeders!! 2026 dates are now on the website.

It's been so much more fun sharing it with YOU.

If you've met me, you'll know I love people and are passionate about these amazing edible so-called weeds that thrive in the sea.

I'm happy to share what I know, helping you feel confident to hand harvest seaweed and help care for these important environments.

There's so much to share, so much to care for, so much to enjoy and appreciate.

Have a good winter everyone.

Goodbye hello foragers and makers! 6 months ago my work at The School of Social Entrepreneurs ended.

I'd spent 3 years supporting amazing social and environmental leaders with inspiring ideas, projects and charities.

I loved my team - see 2nd image of some of that fab crew - and was humbled and awed by the people we got to work with.

I honed my skills as a facilitator, coach and mentor and even changed my own business to integrate what I'd learn from our students. Yes - they were that inspiring!

But nothing lasts forever, and I sadly had to say goodbye.

6 months down the line, I'm now carving a new path, still foraging but now also an artisan maker. Using sustainable materials to celebrate our local weeds and ancient crafts that combine heart, hands and plants.

I couldn't be happier.
I've a long way to go in terms of honing this new skill, finding a new market and sharing these skills with others.

But I've begun.

Thank you .insta Fliss, Sally and all you wonderful team - it was an honour to work with you.

In case you don't know... I've been working on some new projects, which is why my website and my insta have changed a little....

I'm still foraging, just for fibres as well as food, so have changed my insta handle to

Do add the tag to acvounts you follow!

We've also breathed some new life into the website to highlight new courses and projects like this one with daffodils.

What do you think?!

The daffodil bowl combines the two techniques I now teach - cordage making and coil pot making.

So meditative, plant-based and connecting it's divine!

The next course is Sunday 23rd Nov - a few places remaining.

Thought I'd share this wee video from the summer, before the dark completely swallows us up!

2026 events now love on the website, plus much more. Do take a browse...
